Developer (Former Employee) – Pickering, ON – 24 January 2019
I am not sure about other department/locations, but this is specifically in the department that I worked in
If they offer you a job, make sure you know what you getting your self into. They might tell you something else in the interview, and expect you to do something else on the job, with no training or right mentors. Although, they claim that they provide training.
You will only get the right training, mentors and pair programming, if the managers likes you and wants you to excel.
A very toxic environment, does not treat all employees equally. They judge and isolate their employee based on rumors spread by another employee, without ever listening to the other side of the story.
If you don't belong to a certain cultural group, you will be seen as minority.
There are no development plans here for the projects, with no requirements.
The projects are all over the place, with no proper deadlines/severity being communicated to all the employees ahead of time.
Either they play around with your job title as not being same as other co-workers or they set you up for failure if they want you out.
The managers would claims that their employee had made certain decision, without ever confronting the employee or without confirming.
The managers are all lazy, hypocrites and will micromanage you to a point where you mental health is affected and makes you want to quit everyday or make you not come into the work.
Huge turnover, people quit after working 5-6 months here, due to the managers ego.
They stage their project/work whenmore... ever an important person is expected to visit the building, just to show that person, they are part of something bigger.
They are so proud of the corrupt work they are doing, I say corrupt because if you just search up MPAC on the google, all the negative article about the company will come up on your top search. That is why they have a very bad reputation. Give it a try!
The only thing good about this company is the Union.
Don't join or get your self out of here, because this will be no growth to your career only downgrade.less
Analyst (Former Employee) – Barrie, ON – 11 December 2017
As it is a government job the pay and benefits are good and your job is secure. The work was boring and slow. They do property tax assessment so they are not always viewed favourably by members of the public.

Summer Student (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 26 August 2017
I was a summer student at MPAC and it was a great place to work. The supervisors constantly had something for us to do, and because I am in Urban Planning, the work we did was ultimately connected to my field.

Senior Database Consultant/DBA (Team Leader) (Current Employee) – Pickering, ON – 7 March 2017
A typical day at MPAC is to attend 15 minutes scrum in the morning and then afterwards spending whole day to build, test and deploy code in variety of environments (dev/qa/uat/prod). Management is very professional in applying new technologies and commissioning off the legacy systems. Overall, very good place to work, grow and to learn new technologies.
