Hate it
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 21 April 2022
If you want happiness in life don’t take this job., over worked with little pay. You have one bad call and they’ll make it seem like you’re the worst agent

Sales Agent (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 14 April 2022
This job was the worst job I have ever had. You meet some good people, but the majority there are trash and miserable. You will attain no transferable skills so working there is a complete waste of time. Pay is horrendous, and you are treated poorly. Management has nothing more than a high school education and that is why the entire environment of that place feels just like high school. They have their cliques, and the nepotism. If you're not part of the clique you will not get promoted no matter how skilled you are. If you are looking for a job don't apply here. If you're trying to get out, please take anything you can get then make a review about your experiences to help the next person out. The people that are part of the clique will not be successful anywhere and will remain there for the rest of their lives.
Pros
Nothing
Cons

Would not recommend
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 28 January 2022
I wouldn't recommend working at MSI to my enemy. Managers manipulate, alot of favoritism that isn't even hidden - it's out in the wide open. TLs coach you for the little mistakes and rarely award good behaviour. If you want to be treated like cattle, come work here.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Bad management

If you give higher management constructive feedback, do yourself a favor and don't.
Specialized agent (Former Employee) - Remote - 24 December 2021
When management saw the reviews for MSi go down a couple years ago, they asked their employees to write good reviews about the company on various platforms. Most of the good reviews available come from that. They also asked for feedback about how they could make the company better. I believed in MSi and wanted it to be better, but my constructive feedback was not well received and I was invited to resign, which I did not do at the time.
Pros
the starting salary is quite high for the industry, the health benefits they offer are better than some goverment jobs, people are nice for the most part
Cons
not much growth opportunities, if you're excellent at your job they'll keep you there, I did not like all the monitoring and control even breaks are scheduled, I did not like the cliques, There is a handful of employees that get more priviledges because of their friend circle

You're not really valued for what you bring to the company.
Activation Improvement Agent (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 20 December 2021
The management isn't helpful on most situations. They take advantage of you especially if they know you have nowhere else to go. The work imposed on agents is not worth the pay you receive in return. And scheduling more than often is just abusive, you can get scheduled to work up to 8 days in a row and for closing shift sometimes(1PM-9PM). MSI is a place you go to work to if you have no choice and need to pay the bills. If you have another option I would not recommend the company.
Pros
Option to work remotely.
Cons
Long hours, bad schedule, no work to life balance, your opinion and health is not taken into account. Only production matters.

Your hard work paid off with those bonuses and perks
Call Centre Agent (Current Employee) - Cornwall, ON - 9 October 2021
I will not gonna lie working in a call Centre is stressful sometimes, but sometimes it is rewarding. Because it depends on the account that you are dealing with. Sometimes it is difficult to balance your personal life, especially..if you have family.because it is shifting, you need to work weekends and day-off is changing too so you need to plan ahead. Salary wise..? It is fair plus great extra bonus.can’t complain.
Pros
They provide laptop and other things you need.
Cons
Shifting, life balance, and mental draining.

Great job, until I wasn't allowed to do it.
Small Business - Live Order Entry Agent (Bilingual) (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 29 September 2021
The job was great, especially working in the department for Small Business as a Live Order Entry Agent. The training provided was something longer than I would of expected. Pay was okay, although our salary increase was denied because of COVID-19 reasons that we were all unaware of, no explanation provided. Never missed a shift, was always on time. Always displaying great quality for my calls. A great asset for the whole department overall I would say. I was part of a great team, with very supporting RA's and TL's, and other agents. And then the vaccination policy came in and I was forced to resign. Would never work there for that reason alone. It was actually a good job overall until it wasn't.
Pros
Working From Home, Pay Is Okay, Great Schedule
Cons
Vaccine Mandates, Forced to resign

Are you a Leader?
Team Leader (Current Employee) - 360 Lisgar / Remote - 23 April 2021
I love working for MSi because I actually make more money now than in working in the field I went to college for. There is a lot of opportunity for growth within MSi. I started as an agent, was promoted to RA and then eventually a Team Lead. If you have leadership skills then this is a great place to build up your talents.

when I started with MSi I built up my skills and knowledges of the tools they use, I made sure I asked as many questions as possible in order to do it to the best of my abilities. My team leader was super helpful and saw the potential in me, she worked closely with me to hone my skills. I am now an RA and I am going to keep pushing to seee where my career with MSi goes
