Lead Hand (Former Employee) – Guelph, ON – 12 February 2019
Hired on as an upper Tech, within a few months i was lead hand, the manager at the waterloo location was phenominal, majority of the team rocked, however like anywhere a few were a little high on their horse. Transferred to another location as part of my promotion, and it was TERRIBLE! It was disgusting, the manager was a manipulative you know what as were the owners and MOST of the area managers. So much sexual harrassment, and when reported I was sternly reminded not to make waves. UHHH WHAT?! After choosing to take a stand for my rights, i was let go for "intimidating and threatening behaviour" Despite asking for further details, none could or would be provided.
The customers were fantastic though and many have followed me to a new location under different owners.
The competitive wages are a joke, and these specific locations are over priced.
*insider tip* call a few different locations and request price checks on anything outside an oil change.
