Had a lot of fun working for this company. I had to work my butt off but it paid off for the most part. Upper management sometimes was a bit questionable but all around a good experience. Your attitude is your biggest asset
Pros
Flexible schedule, cool coworkers
Cons
The general manager wasn’t very inspiring at times

Very fast-paced job greeting and serving customers. Often short staffed or given short notice to work. Management weren’t very personable and often didn’t get breaks. Co-workers were good team players making sure customers were happy with food and service.

General entry-level restaurant hosting job with no specifics of individuality, too fancy for what they actually were with managers working more than what was required of them.

Great mix when I was younger and learning the ways, although being a good bartender, I took the quick experience to become a Bar Manager and open up 4 locations doing all training, lists, inventory, and of course colleagues friendship..

This company is way too big. The food is mostly made in a warehouse in Alberta and it is obvious to the guests because you can almost never have a modification.

A fun, inclusive work environment. Ability to work independent while receiving support from the management team. Working with other young, outgoing staff members made going to work every day a good experience.
Cons
No free lunch, long hours

I was super stoked to work here, the staff that works along side you are amazing, loving, helpful people! However, management is very unclear for their expectations of you, makes promises they can not keep and seem to share a different vision than what they tell you. All in all moxies management is very unprofessional. I was very disappointed with how working there turned out.

a typical day at work would be coming in the morning, setting the line for service, start counting for line prep, prep for the day and maintain prep levels, do HACCUP and daily paper work, run lunch service, review labour, review ticket time, and follow up with prep.
Pros
friendly staff
Cons
low pay

The best part of any workplace is the people. The employees here are typically very hard working and willing to do what it takes to complete their jobs. Often enough there are many obstacles getting in the way, like a few $7,500 revenue hours back to back, or dealing with spies filming the aftermath and uploading biased views of safe work practices, hygiene and operational standards. At the end of the day, you gather everyone up and encourage them to swing the hammer one more time to drive the nail the rest of the way, The best part of the job is working with people that are constantly willing to improve. As a senior member of the team, it makes my day when a newer employee asks for help or an explanation. As it is a kitchen, there ought to be an unlimited amount of questions and answers. The worst part of the job are is the new wave of management that was brought in. Not once did they appear to stop and consider the existing culture in the company, but went in full force attempting to change everything all at once. This has led to the alienation of all long-term staff.
