Order entry, inventory review and communication with distributors was priority 1. Assisting sales team, Brand Managers in the field and Directors on the road was also extremely important. I learned a great deal about the hospitality and retail accounts, as I was originally hired under the spa division. These accounts are smaller, but require a lot more attention. There is a big difference in how you must communicate with these smaller direct accounts versus large distributors. I grew to be a much more attentive listener when dealing with customers. Many times if they were not keen on new programs it was simply because no one had taken the time to show them the advantages and explain the benefits. I would listen carefully to better understand where we as a company could improve our communication. The Montreal office has an incredible team of dedicated staff. The most difficult part of this job was distributing inventory on certain products. There is a spa division, distributor division and we also had to keep inventory for trade shows, car stock for sales employees and other events. I loved my time with Moroccanoil, the teams I worked with were very supportive. I was extremely proud to represent such quality products.
There was a lunch program, for which we only paid the tax.
The regular hours were very long, not just because it was 8:30-5:30, but there was little to no time for breaks.
