I would do things the right way for ramp, which is every way the current ramp manager and supervisor aren’t doing.
I would treat my staff better, pay their wages on time, communicate my expectations clearly so that they are no misunderstandings. I would also listen to their point of view and be more compassionate towards them when they have troubles rather than ordering them to come in and see me when actually can't because of family reasons.
If I were the manager, I would offer new staff a proper orientation about the company culture so that they know how to function in an aviation company. I also wouldn't treat them as if they are disposable pieces of junk. I would express my gratitude towards staff who are competent, appreciate their work and make them feel valued
