Owner is great to work for, family friendly hours during the week, weekends off. But it is hard work. Customers can be quite mean, but the ones that aren’t are amazing to be around.

If I could give a zero to management I would

Rude and disrespectful! Not very friendly welcoming, or willing to help in areas of struggle. Falsely Accuse candidates or wrongful doing. Right way of handling things would be to help figure out issue and then work on ways to correct or fix it instead of shunning candidates wanting to work for them

Bad management

The work environment is fast paced. Be ready to work a lot of over time without over time pay. Only one 30 min break which wouldn’t be bad if management didn’t try to force you to work through your lunch. Will try to fit as much houses in your schedule as possible and if you’re late finishing a house then it sucks to suck because you will have to stay late. Customers will complain about a hair and then work won’t pay you for that house since they received a complaint. Sometimes they will over work you where you will have to work 10 hours or more without any extra breaks or overtime pay. No benefits at all. Very toxic work environment and I wouldn’t wish working there on anyone.

I started working here a bit ago, pay is good. Other staff are good to work with and i enjoy what i do. Its hard work but not terrible. The hours are good and the owners are flexible with vacation time.

Some Houses are Serious Health Hazards

House Cleaner (Former Employee) - Thunder Bay, ON - 18 September 2023

Some houses should not have even been taken on by management as they are severe health hazards (like the client never taking their dogs outside and letting them go to the bathroom all over the floor so bad that the tiles are peeling up etc.) clients are demanding and not respectful of boundaries or company policies. Lots of false promises from management, they want you to wash the company cleaning rags in your own washer and dryer as well as use your personal phone for contacting customers daily. Pay is by cheque and must be picked up, bank will withhold check for like 5 days, I was struggling to pay my bills when I started because of this. They make you pay for the uniform and you also have to return the uniform when you leave with no money back. Co workers expect you to work differently than how you were trained and they are not good at working with others. Unpaid travel time at the end of the day to deliver paperwork etc. you will destroy your body and be completely exhausted for a small cheque. Pay is at the lowest of the advertised scale.

Monday - Friday daytime hours and holidays paid! You get picked up at home! If you drive you get to take the car home and can use the car for a bit of personal use. The clients are amazing!

Fun work place environment. Employer genuinely cares for all their employees and makes every person feel valued and appreciated. Always acknowledges the teams hard work and their part in reaching goals/milestones. Fast-paced work environment, and lots of opportunity to build relationships with co-workers and regular customers (and their pets!!). This is a very teamwork oriented job, and is also very rewarding in the sense that you get to see what a difference you can make in a customer's life and their home.

Fair…..fair Don’t take this job. Find a better job! Most enjoyable part of the job is getting payed weekly. Hardest part of the job is the work load is way too much.

The people you meet cleaning houses, and the joy on their faces is the best part of the job. The pay is not great and neither is management but if you keep to your self and take anything that happens then you will be fine.

What is the best part of working at the company?Owner and office manager have great customer and employee communication, can be very flexible to scheduling and can accommodate even the most complex hours of being able to work. Say you don’t work past 5 often times you do , no paid travel time and you are worked like a dog. Often jobs are quoted incorrectly for time, some houses aren’t even looked at first before going there .

Absolutely horrible

Sore 24/7 , i do nothing but work,on weekends I’m so exhausted that I just sleep, I no longer visit family due to no time or energy, lost a lot of weight from doing so much, no time to properly eat meals,many cleaning steps are skipped because speed is everything, so much stress and things to do that my entire life revolves around work, pay is horrible for how much physical labour and mental exhaustion there is, rather work at McDonald’s

i really wanted to like this job but its just horrible. no breaks or lunch, lots of driving, long hours, HORRIBLE PAY, i can't believe such a huge company pays employees that low. if you can, stay far far away. unless your despite for a temporary job. i'm just warning you its not worth your time or energy.
