Mill Creek Care Centre (MCCC) is a charitable, non-profit, Christian home for residents needing LTC living. MCCC Long Term Care Home is located within Tollendale Village. Our home is strongly grounded on Christian traditions and principles, while welcoming residents of all faiths, backgrounds and beliefs. Mill Creek Care Centre is home to 160 residents. Our home has 5 Resident Home Areas (RHA) which provides living accommodations for 32 residents on each home area.

Very busy and demanding

Mill Creek Care Centre is a very busy, demanding, high expectations environment. The care in which the residents receive from the frontline workers is the best possible care to be given despite the heavy demands of the workplace. Awful

Horrible work environment. Staff morale is pretty much nonexistent. You’re basically treated like a number by management. If you’re new or part time, be prepared to have the grandfathered full timers take advantage of you or take as many smoke breaks as they please while you do all the work. Sure, the money is good but it’s not worth putting up with all the toxicity.

Good support system

Amazing employee. Management are super supportive and the residents are a blast! Constant education occurs for self growth! Hours are long but enjoyable.

Good place to work

Good place to work. Management was supportive. Often short staffed but co workers were wonderful. Resident are a joy to work with. Recommend working here if you want a career in long term care

Alright if you're retired or something

- The part time hours are about 24 hours every other weekend (Weekends + Friday/Monday 4pm-8) at minimum wage. - High turnover, I saw quite a few coworkers from all levels come and go over the year I was there. - Felt like reception is seen as sort of expendable yet relied on so heavily.Tasks and responsibilities regularly given to the admin team were very disproportionate to the wages earned ...
