No work/life blance but can move around within the company if you wish to do so
Great company if you desire to work in the transit/transportation industry. First few years are hard on work life balance. Pay and benefits are very good tho. Senior Associate in Toronto, ON

Good pay and balanced work life
I recommend working at Max, a good public sector company with good pay and benefits and professional work culture You need to be assignable about construction and have skills to deal with vendors as most part of the job you will be doing vendor management Human Resources Manager in Head office

Worst place to work
Corporate treated employees like numbers. Very high turnover and management in HR at Head office were very wicked and talked behind each others back. Have to look over your shoulder. Operations in Ontario

Secure job with good pay
Solid job. First 2 or 3 years as a bus driver is very difficult, as it's a unionized workforce an your location an shifts are decided by seniority. Expect to be sent far away from home an work very odd hours. Pretty much no work life balance for the first 2 to 5 years. After that it gets much better. Excellent benefits, health and dental for you and immediate family. Guaranteed pay. 3 weeks vacation. Good pension. Difficult to advance in the company. Overall it's a good job after you've put in about 5 years. What would you say about your employer?
