Good management
Surprisingly good management. Always nice. I was taught properly and everything I needed to do. Management actually praises you. For some reason they cut all my hours though.Cashier in Pointe-Claire, QC

Poor Management
There’s is not much of a sense of belonging or encouragement that goes on within the company, no one ever really gives you positive feedback or tells you when you’re doing a great job. There are some supervisors who are super nice and helpful but in the higher positions of management they kind of just come in out and help you fix your mistakes without taking too much time and consideration into it. The only positive energy you can really experience is when you get a quick 5 minutes to chat with your coworkers. This is only once it’s finally quieted down after the 4 hours of just plain old work, mind you there is no enthusiasm in it either and nothing to help you stay interested in the job even the slightest.Cashier in Burlington, ON

Don't bother applying it's a joke
No advancement unless you are a favorite and forget about full-time. Managers blow you off and never have time to talk to you. They rules for some and make exceptions for others with the same rules. They don't like people who speak up .Cashier/Floral Clerk in Toronto, ON

Nice people in my locations
I've worked at two Metro stores and the locations all have had very nice, understanding people. It is enjoyable to work there. It is not a place to stay for long, unfortunately, because most departments can't offer full-time hours and they have varying hours, but if you're in school or need the flexibility, this is the place. They are very understanding if you need to book time off. At least, I've been lucky with my experiences. Department managers are amazing, the top managers are okay.Commis charcuterie in Laval
