The culture is changing. The senior leadership is committed to modernizing and updating workplace policies and practices. Some branches (departments) are excellent to work for. Like any organization, there are mostly good managers, some great managers, and a few managers who need to be better. Do your homework.

The work environment varies by Branch (department). Most employees are really motivated by the opportunity to do meaningful work in the community. The organization has grown quickly and there is a need for additional training to support newer supervisors and managers. There is really good work life balance, with a very generous paid time off policy.

Usually two weeks to start, three weeks after three years. They have a very generous paid time off policy, lots of holidays (public and employer paid cultural holidays), a holiday shutdown at Christmas, 15 paid sick days, and employee paid premiums for group health and dental.

Low pay, but this has recently changed. Perhaps limited career options, but there are new workplace policies that support career progression and growth opportunities in the works.
