It’s a good company on a easy environment but the pay is really bad, it’s easy to do in a fast pase environment. The only think I did not like like I said before is the pay

Horrible

Absolutely horrible. Management sucks, favoritism plays a big part in everyday work. Overall just hands down a horrible place to work. If i could give no stars I would.

Good job. Good hours. Good fun enviornment. Downside is almost no overtime, low pay from $10-13hr. Other than that it is a good place to work

Safe working enviornment. Management allows employees to work without breathing down your neck, also helpful, and not so uptight. Only downside is the pay.

Pros

Occasional free lunches. Management recognizes and complements good work.

Great place for learning how a efficient office works

I really enjoyed learning how an efficient office works and how to be responsible for large orders of metal and structural steel for construction companies and residential projects. It is a lot of responsibility, but a great learning experience. Pay was not so good. I made more money in other retail positions.

Bad

Unpleasant job experiences hear. There was an overwhelming amount of labor with limit workers. It was full time In a hot warehouse only playing nine a hour.

i enjoyed my time at metal mart

My experience at metal mart was great. The company brought in a new manager and my time being there was limited due to the fact that he wanted to go in a different direction with his intentions

Enjoyed working with customers

At first this was a very enjoyable job but as time progressed the lack of communication and indecisiveness of the owner made the job hard and ultimatlely why I ended up leaving the shop. The owners dishonesty with his employees was unacceptable and I believe drugs were to blame. After seeing a few interactions with different individuals my suspicions were confirmed after he was arrested. When I accepted the job position I was not aware of the owners condition or drug abuse. Being able to work with band saws,metal brakes and shears made the job very fun. After I was trusted weld it became even more fun.

awesome place to work

enjoyed my time at metal mart. very nice management, always helpful and willing to teach. hardest part of the job was pulling metal purlins in the rain.

A place where everyone was family

If I was to move back to San Antonio Metal Mart would be my number one go to job. Im welcome back anytime if I were to go back. Working with them is an amazing experience.

terrible job

I did not like this job, the mangement has terrible attitudes and they pay isnt worth it. You often have to do hard task alone with no help while they sit and do nothing in the front.

love to wake up each and evry mourning to looking foward gettng the work done because it was an fun atmosphere

ive learned how to cut sheet metal, how to measure sheet metal that needed to be cut. i mean it was exciting the co workers and i always had fun working together, i can truly say there were no hardest part to the job.

It is all about store location and product availability. Making sure that all the products are price compatible with competitors.

this company was the first company that i actually learne the basics on layouts a good experience

It amazed me on the different types and procedures it takes to do layouts instead of just building something I learned there was actually a procedure and steps to follow instead of guessing
