What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Meta Cannabis Co.?
Be sure to have started your QCW application, come with a good attitude and a passion for the Canadian Cannabis Industry, and be dressed appropriately (business casual).
I seriously doubt that this company will be around in its current form a couple of years from now. They are clearly clueless and lost when it comes to both retail and cannabis, and will not be able to compete long term.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Meta Cannabis Co. a better place to work?
Hire managers who actually know what they are doing, pay staff on par with what every other cannabis store does, actually listen to staff feedback, provide more comprehensive and hands on training, less of the shady retail sales tactics, more control over ordering, maybe some monthly team building activities to keep up moral
What advice would you give the CEO of Meta Cannabis Co. about how to improve the company?
PLEASE listen to feedback from your staff who are actually working in the stores!! There is such a massive disconnect between head office and actual store staff that its alarming. If you continue to ONLY care about sales and run everything like it's a typical retail model (its NOT and it doesn't work well in this environment or with this customer base) then you are going to drive this company into the ground and continue your high staff turn over. your customers are upset, your staff on the base/management level are upset, and the lp's you work with are now also starting to get upset, wake up and start actually doing something about it before its too late. We all really want this company to succeed but it has strayed so far from what NewLeaf is all about.
Its long and tedious, you need a ton of qualifications and they make sales associates do interviews with the VP of operations when she could make better use of her time and improve the company
None. New leaf is by far the worst company I’ve work for in terms of any type of benefit or even having a reason to enjoy being there.
