building bins everyday you learn how to MIG weld. it wasn't too bad but people get fired or "laid off" from there all the time within their 3 month period. the managers were pretty cool guys and we even team stretched before shifts.
Welder/Fitter (Current Employee) – Cambridge, ON – 26 October 2018
I can honestly say this is a great company to work for. Good work, laid back no pressure environment. Good vibes both from on the floor and management. The work is simple ( with experience) , they take care of there hard working employees. As the add states it’s production work, ( its really not ) sure on a large scale everything is about producing, but there are no tak times or time clocks or people watching over your shoulder. The pay could be better but it deffinatley reflects the simplicity of the work. Amazing benefits.
Shop floor moral is great, management listens to its employees, great bennefits
Pay could be higher but it’s still more than competitive

there are two shifts from 6.30 till 3.45 and from 3.45 till 1 a.m ( I`m not sure about evening shift when it ends). Every day is the same, weld what you have to weld and prepare some parts. Plus you have to clean up your workplace between. they teach me how to weld from scratch which is not bad no complains about management the workplace culture is not bad, except that you have to keep working hard (they don`t like if you talk with someone instead of swiping the floor for instance) get bored of doing the same job every day meet some good people there

Meridian was an amazing company to work for. The people are easy to get along with and i always wanted to get up in the morning to attend my shifts. Working here really kick started my welding career.
Material Handler (Former Employee) – Regina, SK – 15 May 2017
My experiences working here were for the most part positive with the exception of a few particular supervisors. The particular supervisors I am talking about all lacked patience and had zero respect for the workers. Other than that, I loved working here.
Mig Welder (Former Employee) – Camrose, AB – 20 March 2017
Loved working at meridian In a shop setting. Parts welders keep busy welding parts. Management was great dealing with me when family issues arose. Lots of different groups of people from different culture working together great. Hardest part was being small and lifting something though I managed( 120). Enjoyable part was I was busy all day doing what I enjoyed. Welding
Good place to work with excellent and nice security work area

The company is very good in terms of work environment, good protective equipment's at work. My only problem with the company is that they kept on promising permanent job position which never come. I need permanent job not a contract job.
