Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Punjab23 May 2019
Very nice and collaborative work environment. The thing which I most enjoyed is learning new technologies. Over all management is supportive. When you are working on product then your learning might stop at certain point.

It's all about the numbers
Global Help Desk Annalist IT Contractor (Former Employee) –  Wilsonville, OR13 May 2019
If you are not as fast as the younger generation, forget about it, they will fire you with no warning. You leave for the day all happy with another day done thinking all is right and then you get a phone call, "Oh, by the way, you're fired." The older generation doesn't stand a chance at that rate!

I really liked Mentor Graphics until they stabbed me in the back!

I was really sad that it happened that way. At least they could have given me a little warning. It's all about the numbers I guess with this company.
Pros
Friendly, helpful to a point
Cons
Will cut the rug out from under you

Highly recommend this employer
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CA22 March 2019
Best place to work, not flashy but flexible to work life balance. This organization is fairly minimal on the politics and petty competitiveness that is common in the Silicon Valley. It offers generous employee benefits and accomodation options for work life balance and circumstances. A fair and compassionate place to work, stable.

Upper management was narcissistic
Technical Instructor, Customer Support Division (Former Employee) –  Longmont, CO4 March 2019
The division I worked in was the biggest collection of narcissists ever assembled. Intelligent industry experts workers were enticed to join the company, but if someone found fault with your persona, you were subjected to open humiliation by these persons lacking in human compassion while you worked there until you left.

Brilliant opportunity to learn
QA Engineer (Former Employee) –  Nottingham, Nottinghamshire9 February 2019
Typical day:
No such thing as a typical day, benefit of the job is every day is a different opportunity and a different piece of work.

Learned how to conduct oneself in a professional workplace. Developed communication skills through working on several teams. Ample opportunity to develop presenting skills whilst presenting work to team mangers.

Hardest part of job: tasks that required a lot of technical knowledge.

Most enjoyable part: investigative tasks that allow freedom to explore.

Large company with a challenging work environment
Executive Strategic Account Director (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZ25 January 2019
A typical work day involves customer and internal conference calls/Webex meetings
I learned how to manage large teams of global accounts
Management decision making is spreadsheet driven with challenging corporate driven business objectives
Workplace culture has become less employee friendly since acquisition by Siemens 2 years ago
The hardest part of the job is to balance work/life while meeting aggressive sales objectives
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with highly skilled profession employees.
Pros
Good compensation & benefits
Cons
A lot of internal reporting/data gathering & excessive internal processes

Systems Analyst (Former Employee) –  Wilsonville, OR4 January 2019
The company spent a lot of resources training me, and then after 5 years, our entire department was 'reorganized' to France. 17 other people besides me were laid off. Seems that we weren't valued after all.
Pros
Campus facilities
Cons
Too much work, not enough staff

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Fremont, CA27 December 2018
A comfortable place with nice work life balance. Compensation is average. If you want to enjoy life and retire, this is probably the best place to work.

Depending upon your job and management in your organization it could be good or bad.
Senior Quality Engineer (Former Employee) –  Fremont, CA11 December 2018
This is entirely dependent upon your immediate management. When some individuals controlled their managers, they were slaves to their own workers so they tended to keep a good relationship with them at the risk of upsetting others.
Some production personnel were real jewels in that they controlled everythign in spite of having higher management above them.
Pros
Good and clean offices.
Cons
Managers are subservient to their own reports!

Systems Applications Engineer
Systems Applications Engineer (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MI31 October 2018
This role has been an amazing experience. Lots of chances to travel, learn new things and develop your skills (both technically and business acumen) in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The pay is great, especially the commission. There is a good chance, if you put in the effort, to always walk away with more than your yearly salary. The networking opportunities grant a lot of chances for promotional leads and lateral moves to great companies that are your customers. I also got to learn about various new, emerging technologies in the automotive marketplace.
Pros
salary, freedom, flexible schedule, new opportunities
Cons
vacation/holidays are slim, not a great health plan, lower than average 401k match
