The most useful review selected by IndeedRH is here to help if any problems. They try to discuss with you and find a solution to your problem. I did my internship during covid time, so maybe things have changed

Good for new graduates
Application Engineer (Former Employee) - Dorval, QC - 1 August 2023
It's a good company to work for if you are a new graduate. The people are very nice and supportive and the company is very stable. The pros end there unfortunately. The pay, benefits, flexibility is very mediocre and there is little room for growth.
Pros
Stability
Cons
Growth is non-existent

Good people, interesting projects
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Online - 6 May 2023
The projects were interesting and I learned a lot during my internship there. The management was chill and I had the freedom to choose my hours and days.

Okay place to start or retire
Marketing Representative (Former Employee) - Dorval, QC - 17 February 2022
Depends on what you want in life. Good place to start or retire. Not so good if you want to grow or advance in your career. People have been in their jobs for 10+ years. Very relaxed place. Very stable. Moves very slowly. I spoke to plenty of departments. The best people left a long time ago (realizing they couldn't affect change), they are now VPs in other companies. Just know what you're getting into and keep your eyes open. My advice: Don't get too comfortable if not you may stay forever. But if you want to grow and increase your salary, you need to move, be open to new experiences, and take a chance on yourself. Good luck and I wish you well my friend.
Pros
no stress environment, flexible hours, nice people, no one gets fired
Cons
very political, no accountability, not a high growth place, don't invest in their employees continuous learning, don't rock the boat or ask tough questions, say things indirectly, don't try to improve things (not appreciated), "we've always done it that way" approach

Career suicide if you work in marketing
Marketing Representative (Former Employee) - Pointe-Claire, QC - 27 August 2021
I would not recommend this company. The marketing department is not innovative and the tools they use are extremely outdated. There is a long approval process for everything and little room to contribute ideas and personal growth. A lot of micromanagement. If you are in marketing, you will not learn anything and you will not gain any transferable skills to further your career. But if you enjoy monkey work and just punching in and out, then this is excellent. Salaries are much lower than average. Benefits are also not great for such a large company.
Pros
very slow-paced
Cons
terrible management, low salaries, no accountability

Collaborative Workplace
FPGA Validation Specialist Intern (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 3 December 2019
All employees are extremely nice and willing to help. They encourage self-learning and provide a great working environment. I learned that asking help from others is a great way to learn

Interesting projects that help you learn and grow. Great work/life balance.
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Dorval, QC - 28 September 2019
I really enjoyed the twelve years I spent at Matrox. I learned a lot and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked on a interesting/challenging project from the very start. I left so that I would be able to travel long-term.

Good place to start
Technicien en contrôle de qualité des produits (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 18 March 2017
The workers are very friendly and helpful. As an intern you learn a lot. The work environment is very relaxed and there is no stress at all. You can choose on what project you wish to work the most. The pay is OK for an internship. The managers are very friendly and are always there to answer your questions.

It was a decent job, but I would not do it again. Flex hours are definitely a bonus since life can be very variable. Great gym on campus.
