Great place to gain experience in the field.
Welder (Current Employee) - Bramalea, ON - 4 November 2019
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI have been a welder here for 2 years at the Bramalea plant, I take part in new product launches and regular production. I’ve interviewed for the supervisor position 3 times without any feedback.. sometimes I feel unappreciated and do more then I should, Supervisors are Ok. HR generalist is amazing, very helpful/knowledgeable and deserves a lot more credit then she gets, she puts everyone first before herself and has helped me out a lot. The hourly rate is just ok, but all in all great place to get experience.

Ok not great
Finish Welder (Former Employee) - Brampton, ON - 24 February 2022
Ok place to work if you're just starting out in welding. Pay is not great. The people in the shop are nice Pay is the same if you're a great welder or a butcher. No really reward for good work. If you're a good welder your reward is more work.

Welder (Former Employee) - Bramalea,ON - 5 June 2019
A typical day, is to work hard, not smart. Push as hard as you are able.
I learned, there are some really bad welders out there.
Management, typically have no experience in this line of work.
Workplace culture. Great group of guys. HR needs someone with better people skills.
The hardest part of the job would be dealing with inexperienced people that are in charge.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the last hour before you go home.
When they tell you what your pay will be, ask for it in writing.
Weld fumes are intolerable. When the doors are closed in the colder months, you will suffer some kind of bronchitis. A respirator is a must.
Good luck.
Pros
Lots of overtime.
Cons
No talent at the management level.

Management are very bad and demanding
Welder (Former Employee) - Bramalea, ON - 14 April 2019
Working at the Bramalea location, not a good environment, a material manager was hired is very racist, also the supervisors always fight with each other and have no respect for any of the employees that work there, the place is an unsafe environment, and they expect one person to do like three people work,

Garbage company - Read full review..
Welder (Former Employee) - Bramalea, ON - 6 April 2019
The air quality had been failed by third party inspection done in 2017, but HR lady lied to ministry about that as no report was submitted to ministry. Company installed substandard methods for just formality. As no air quality check done ever after.
Accidents happened every week, but in every so called monthly meeting HR showed no report and zero down time. Just imagine the lifting of 5000 pounds 12 feet metal with Just magnets!!
The HR lady at Bramalea location was just waste of space;no manners and garbage attitude. Importantly, As a safety representative, She know how to lie to ministry about bad / failed air quality test report.
There were three production supervisors in day shift,One was just jumping from one tree to another, Second one just riding forklift and back-stabbing on floor,Third one was just a joker to please bootlickers. The one old supervisor in afternoon shift was busy in back-biting and just staring around.
The so called monthly meeting and training is a bluff. If you asked any question:- You will be fired with allegations of being drunk on same day. As no breathe test or blood test will be conducted.
Pros
hahahahah

.Great Co-worker
Welder (Former Employee) - Bramalea, ON - 13 March 2019
This is not for experienced or certified welders. There's 3 Supervisors on days 2 of them cant even weld one of them is an accident waiting to happen and the other is a glorified forklift operator. The third supervisor can weld a bit but has no concept how to talk to employees. All there is there is rework from robot or other welders. You get pushed constantly by the accident waiting to happen and he cant even weld has no idea or concept what goes into jobs. Because they has no idea about welding they give new inexperienced welders jobs they should get just to create more rework and they keep losing parts of the contract from Skyjack and constantly blames the customer for not be able to meet demands or quality.Upper management seems to be ok with this. Unless management does a major overhaul with supervisors this is a dead end company
Pros
People on shop floor
Cons
Too many to list

Great coworkers
Welder (Former Employee) - Brampton, ON - 15 January 2019
Its a good company, but the pay is not worth it. The morning supervisor tell you to work fast even though you are doing your best. They should do give the worker more time on lunch break. When i got hired by agency there were 3 months probation to get the benefits but i almost waited a year to get it.
Pros
free equipments
Cons
short break time, dont pay good
