They challenged me with tasks and set ups of booths and different events. They allowed me to show myself and them what I’m really capable of. Loved it

Terrible leadership
Art Director (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON6 December 2019
This agency doesn’t know what it wants to be. Executive leadership is shady and plays favourites to the point of sleeping with lower level staff. They set a horrible example from the top down. The agency has been hemorrhaging clients for years because of it. On top of this, salaries are embarrassingly low (they expect everyone should earn 40% less than industry standards because they are located in Mississauga rather than downtown. Leadership is also not transparent about company financials and need.

Fun perks but disorganized management
RECRUITER (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON18 June 2019
Fun culture, lots of perks events and parties. Management is often disorganized which confuses employees - during a short contract, team had multiple managers with different priorities and expectations.
Pros
Parties, BBQs, fun cafeteria and events
Cons
constantly changed management

Very Unorganized Company Overall - WOW! Mobile
Sales Specialist/ Manager-On-Duty (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON10 February 2019
This company's brand is continuously diminished by the lack of customer service ability provided through the poor training methods received. New Sales reps are given minimal floor experience and are transitioned out of the company under 2 months of joining.

A lack of professional leadership and guidance along with unethical sales practices has led to WOW! Mobile's terrible brand name as well. Managers are forced to reprimand their sales reps unless they corner employees into purchasing hiked up rate plans.

2/10 company, would not recommend for part-time, full-time, or career advancement opportunities
Pros
You get hourly pay
Cons
Literally everything else

Great start for sales driven people
Product Demonstrator (Nespresso coffee machines) (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON3 February 2019
Wonderful team all around. Everyone is extremely friendly, understanding, and supportive. The hours are flexible and there is plenty of room for growth.
While working the sales floor, it may be a little boring and dull if the location you have been assigned isn't busy. Overall though, I have learned so much with the help of Match Marketing and I highly recommend them.
Pros
Supportive Team, Flexible Hours, Incentives
Cons
Short shifts

Very face paced environment, people are friendly, not managed very well though
National Loss Prevention Manager (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON3 January 2018
Once management switched over it became all about the money and less about the work or environment. The marketing portion of the business is not something I'm familiar with, but the retail branch offers many opportunities to learn the business.

Recruitment (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON17 November 2017
Fun place to work but, leaders are not invested in your personal growth. Experience is completely dependent on external factors, no 2 recruiters will have the same experience within the same role even though it should be the same.
Pros
parties, lunches, team culture
Cons
no succession planning, no leadership

Account Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON25 October 2017
This was a boarder-line abusive agency who's management team isn't looking to improve the flaws of the system which is why most of their accounts see very high turnover.

Visual Merchandiser (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON21 February 2017
MatchMg is a lot of cleaning and maintenance- very repetitive. You are misinformed in the interview of your job description. If you're a visually driven individual match is not for you. The daily tasks you are given are not stimulating.
Pros
weekends off
Cons
boring

Fun place to work - always an event going on`
Payroll Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON6 October 2016
This is a very easy going company to work for. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
As it is a marketing company, there are always events happening depending on particular sports events or occasions.
The hardest part about working for this company is the high turnover of staff and having a particular department just understanding their role before all new members start. It feels like an never ending battle.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that as long as your work is complete you are free to complete other work as you see fit. Laid back attitudes for the most part.
Pros
free lunches and lots of birthday cakes
Cons
high turnover of employees

Sales rep doing the managers JOB
sales rep (Former Employee) –  Mississauga19 August 2015
I started when the company was new and it had its ups and downs I soon realized more downs than ups. Employees can be sharks, long work hours, horrible management, salary was usually delayed missing or in accurate. No loyalty you must lie and mislead customers to sign 2 year contracts.
Pros
Freedom to walk and mingle
Cons
all those sharks

Great Place to Work
Client Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON5 March 2015
Match Marketing Group is a great place to work in almost every way. Great people, great corporate culture, and the work is challenging. The downside is that they seem to make it difficult for contract employees to earn a permanent position.

Welcome to the meat grinder
OSL (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON27 February 2014
A "growth strategy" of buying up other agencies was really a slow and quiet push that fired every old employee that wasn't part of the new regime or of the parent company.

Long hours. No recognition. Low pay.

Good luck to anyone still there.
Pros
Free parking
Cons
Soul sucking

Fun Workplace but kind of chaotic
National Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON6 February 2014
- fun workplace incorporating a fairly young crowd from early 20s+
- some neat perks with working with various well-known clients.
- Most people are very friendly, outgoing, fun, and there's a huge emphasis on team-play which is great. If you're the type who doesn't work well in a team, this is not likely the right fit for you.
- sometimes chaotic with a lot of 'band-aid solutions' made due to the company's rapid growth.
Pros
fun, team environment, nice people
Cons
chaotic and unstructured at times
