How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Markham Stouffville Hospital? What are the steps along the way?
It takes FOREVER ie months, to go through the hiring process
When I worked there it was full of "Day 1" people who couldn't get over the fact that things had progressed since 1990. I personally didn't like it left after less than 1 year.
What would you suggest Markham Stouffville Hospital management do to prevent others from leaving?
Hire people who can actually do payroll. It would also help if those people could actually add. It gets quite tiresome having to go to your manager every 2 weeks to get what is owed.
On average, I work 8-10 hours a day. There is a good sense of work-life balance at the hospital.
Varies from department to department but very old-school and archaic in processes and thinking from leadership. Be prepared to go back in time where you need to print everything and managers are more bosses than leaders.
I would like to work as a dietary aid. can I do some volunteer works and apply for a job? I used to work as a dietary aid at a retirement home for 3 yrs. thanks
If you volunteer at MSH especially at a co-ordinator or management level expect to never be hired on. Keep applying or get your foot in door with a lower level job.
