CASHIER in St. John's, NL

Not the best.
Most of the regular customers make it a fun place to work, and there's always something to do to keep you busy. However the management isn't great, the managers I've dealt with have little care for customers or employees and make the work environment very stressful.

Basically ended up doing managers job without the pay and got so fed up with being called in for shifts I wasn’t scheduled for. Constantly guilted for not being able to cover shifts if I was unavailable due to school. Terrible management on all levels. Do not recommend!! Save your time and get another minimum wage job elsewhere.

Do NOT recommend
Management is completely horrible. The lady acted like she was still in high school. Talking about employees behind their backs. Threatening with write ups to get what she wanted. If she liked you, it was fine. But if she didn’ out. From the beginning she gave me terrible hours for no reason. Took me off the schedule twice and cut back my hours. NOT flexible for students like they say.

Not overly strenuous or exhausting work
Not a bad place for someone 19-20 years of age to work, part time and full time opportunities, max of 40 hours a week, however little to no room for advancement within business.
