Operations Supervisor in Langley, BC

Not the best
All is good for the first few days. Alredy looking to replace before you are even spoken to. Racist... Need i say more. Make fun of people but will be somewhat friendly to your face.

A place where good workers get treated as such
Long time front-load operator here, worked at a few different companies. Very happy with my time at Maple Leaf so far, 3x12 schedule is amazing, optional overtime days to pump up the cheque. They are willing to pay good rates for hard workers with experience. Slackers get paid as such, no cameras inside of the truck, management is easy to talk to, and for the most part willing to work with their drivers for solutions with any issues. The crew is AMAZING. Fellow drivers quick to offer help when they can, will direct you to calls if you are new, friendly, funny, and non toxic. Small company vibes with big company pay (if you are skilled/hard working) Downside is, benefits arent the greatest, decent however. Parking the trucks in the yard can be the hardest part of your day (need to expand to fit growth) and we could use some more trucks.

Misrepresented
Got a job offer on the spot and started work the next day then after was told it was a 5am start with a split work week. The job was advertised as parks but the job itself is collecting 50lb bags dog feces. Oddly that wasn't in the ad.

maple leaf is a decent workplace for those willing to work
i have worked at maple leaf on and off for since 2001 and in almost all departments. Toilets, roll-off, front-end, office, sales, and even some yard/shop stuff. If you are willing to work they treat you well. the pay is a little low-end, but you need to push for more. if you show up to work and put in a decent effort then you will be treated as such, if you expect them to go out of their way and you are not willing to go out of your way, then move on.

Unorganized
Well, you have people who have never been in a truck in there lives trying to give calls that are so far from your route, if you don't stand your ground you'll never complete your day. Unbelievably unorganized and an uncouth trashy atmosphere.
