Great place to get experience working with a diverse population
Would recommend Main Street Project to those looking to work in this field. Staff is knowledgeable and supportive. I learned a lot working with this group.

Stressful work environment , bad management , no support
I had a co worker literally use the bathroom in a bucket and management would not do anything. If you want to do work with the community and do something meaningful do not work here. Most of the people were here are here for a pay check and didn’t have any experience working with marginalized people. The turn over rate is super high because of the stressful work , bad management and no opportunities for advancement. During the cold there was a time a co worker were lying and telling people we were full during the cold at night and management did not care. Overall my experience was bad. .

Welcoming community of kind and thoughtful beings
Volunteering with MSP, I did not feel judged at all and enjoyed being a productive member of the team. I was given tasks to do and even allowed to facilitate bingo games as I enjoyed calling out the number akin to how scripted speaking is easier for me than spontaneous conversation. My pursuit to support beings of all kinds has informed me about how broken our economy and orbital-society are, and I believe has enhanced how empathic and compassionate of a person human-aliens perceive me to be.

Horrible management
Save yourself! Mainstreet Project is a very horrible place to work. Not because of the work environment but because of the Management. Workplace culture is one of the worst.
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Co-ordinator in Winnipeg, MB

An excellent place to work with high morale and great interaction.
Main Street Project was a superb employer and I enjoyed my short time there. I was laid-off due to restructuring however this has no reflection on the company. I was responsible for entering invoices into Great Plains and ensuring they were accurate and reflected the goods produced. I also reconciled the company credit cards matching receipts with statements. The management team were excellent and provided me with a lot of assistance with an accounting program I hadn't used before.
