Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Richmond Hill, ON – 20 September 2018
Teams are great - wonderful people for the most part but staff satisfaction and morale is low due to job insecurity, lack of support. Would be wonderful if management would set the example and foster a supportive and positive environment,
Patient Care Assistant (Former Employee) – Richmond Hill, ON – 9 September 2018
Part of the NRT as a PSW for 3.5 years. The position itself enabled me to gain valuable hands on experience in most if not all departments, which allows you to experience different work environments and practices.
(hospital) Personal Care Attendant (Current Employee) – Richmond Hill, ON – 7 August 2018
the workplace at Mackenzie is very friendly and respectful. I worked there for 10 years and I love my job as a PCA. We work as a team to give the patients top notch quality care. I strive to give the best customer service to everyone.
Registered Nurse (RN) (Current Employee) – Vaughan, ON – 18 May 2018
It's a busy workplace often with urgent needs and unexpected duties. There's always lots to learn. The environment allows nurses to work independently. There's a good mentorship structure for junior nurses.
Used to be a great place for work with a new site coming
Application Analyst (Former Employee) – Richmond Hill, ON – 10 May 2018
It was a nice place to work when i started but after change of management, and kick off of an project, things changed in a different direction. Felt disconnected with the management and insecure when seeing people got laid off.
Pharmacist (Former Employee) – Richmond Hill, ON – 30 November 2017
Pharmacy management and senior leaders do not support staff They lack experience in doing the actual work, and are great smooth talkers. They speak of engagement but lacks action. Instead they are always ready to point the blame on staff when there is a mistake, despite staff that work very hard and who go above and beyond. Senior management paints a very different picture of the processes when in fact, it’s flawed with mistakes and an accident waiting to happen. There are staff who have their contracts renewed for many years, and yet will never get a full time position because the hospital tries to cut costs. There is no reward for hard work! They could have the best Hospital software and technology in the world, but if they don’t Support staff how can the hospital staff provide a “world class healthcare experience” which is their vision.
