It was great experience working with Linde HR team. Many supportive and motivated colleagues make your life easy.
PAYROLL SPECIALIST (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 25 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhat is the best part of working at the company? It was hybrid workplace options, it might get changed now, but were awesome staff, supportive colleagues, too high fast paced workplace but easy to manage. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There are many things but it’s all over regardless of workplace at Linde only, as it is the requirements for the job.

Cylinder Handler & Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - British Columbia - 12 October 2023
It was my first job as a student. I loved them and I went back there 3 times. I had a great team. Of course like any other workplace manned by homo sapiens, it is not perfect. But it is better than most workplaces I have seen or heard of

Amazing work environment
Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Brampton, ON - 27 September 2023
Learned a lot after being in the industry for just under a year. The management and fellow coworkers will do whatever it takes to ensure you perform your job to the best of your ability. Couldn’t be happier to come into work everyday, this has never felt like a job since Day 1!
Pros
They actually care about their employees!
Cons
Absolutely nothing.

20 November 2023Dear User, Many thanks for this great good review! All the best, Iris from the Linde Careers Team
Management will take advantage of you
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Markham, ON - 6 April 2023
Company forces you to work overtime by simply giving you more than 8 hours of work in a day. No matter how fast you get your deliveries done you will still be over 8 hours. If you ever finish before the 8 hours they will force you to return to the shop and get more calls to ensure you do overtime. Management gets a bonus for sending out more calls meanwhile the drivers just get bombarded with calls. There is no work /life balance. New recruits always because they are never ready for the amount of hours they will be working. No REAL HR to talk to as HR is on the side of the managers and will tell them what you say.
Pros
Coffee truck comes
Cons
Long hours

Inside Sales/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Newmarket, ON - 13 September 2022
The job sure was interesting on the technical side (inside sales rep.) but quickly became life consuming between taking call, doing appointments and also follow-up with number of clients and clinics. Busy workplace that can be very stressful at all the times. Quite often understaffed. Tasks keep getting added to the daily workload and although enough training is given not given proper chance to sale items. Poor management, busy store, often no time to take lunch, good luck for the job.
Pros
good pay
Cons
less time lunch breaks

Intresting technologie, But Stressfull, over worked, often on call.
Instrument Technician (Current Employee) - Canada - 1 September 2022
The job sure was intresting on the technical side but quickly became life consuming, between many remote plants shutdowns, being on call, low pay for being on calls, no leadership/recognition from the boss, low vacation for the enormous work we had to do.. the work/life balance is really poor here unfortually, but it is a great job for workaholics.. the only positive points i see is work safety is respected, paid food when on the road, experience gained, and unlimited overtime.. in the end unfortually for Linde this job in this departement is nothing more then a good temporary job... too bad for the company, the trainning can be a year or 2 until your completly autonomous...

Work hard, play never.
Sales (Current Employee) - Canada - 14 July 2022
Do not expect slow days! Or company events. Or a thank you. Or a decent pay increase. Expect to WORK HARD (Unless your in HR, in which case its kinda the opposite and you should really apply). Regardless of the position your job will be secure as this company does business EVERYWHERE. Its a giant company that knows how to service the shareholders. Its going to be around for a very long time. Mainstream globalist corporate culture. Top down restrictive everything. Decisions come from on high to the peasants. The executive class is an actual thing.

Terrible company
Sleep support advisor (Current Employee) - medigas - 30 June 2022
Undertrained and overworked is a great way to describe my time there. There was no real guidance in what needs to be done - it's a sink or swim operation. They care so little for their employees it's disgusting

Absolutely Poor Management
Shipper/Receiver (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 18 June 2022
Do you want to get thrown under the bus regularly? Do you want to receive zero positive reinforcement at your job? Do you want to work in an grossly understaffed facility? Come work for Linde! The middle management of this company is completely lacking in leadership skills, accountability and responsibility. They will never accept responsibility for anything. They will always pass the buck. And you will never be rewarded or congratulated for anything you do. This company implemented an arbitrary COVID charge on all their customer bills over $20 because they claimed they were bleeding money so they needed to pass this on to their customers. That year they posted amazing financial results and gave the board record compensation packages. Oh! And they cancelled all overtime for staff except drivers, understaff their facilities to the point of negligence and then chastise you for not getting all the work done. This company advertises incentive programs and then doesn’t come through. They advertised within the facility about a safety rewards program. Then the rewards were not doled out despite the safety record qualifying according to the stipulations of the program. In conclusion, this company is a nightmare to work for. Look elsewhere if you value your sanity.

Avoid!
Inside Sales (Former Employee) - Dartmouth, NS - 16 June 2022
Management and long time employees have created a toxic work environment similar to the ‘boys club’. If you’re looking for a diverse place to work where you feel valued amongst your coworkers for the experience and background you bring to the table, this is not the place. Stay clear!
Cons
Poor Management

Better off elsewhere
Manager (Former Employee) - Canada - 2 June 2022
Weak management and HR have created a toxic work environment. Despite job postings, many positions are pre assigned. Constant elimination of employee rights and perks. Many long time employees are leaving and even new hires are only staying briefly. Stay away.

It was alright
Inside Sales - Contract Position (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 1 June 2022
Just not what I was wanting to do for the rest of my life. Sitting behind a desk being yelled at by customers for problems out of my control was not something I loved.

Decently run location, poor direct management as a worker
Dry Ice Processor (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 20 May 2022
Bit of a mixed bag here at Linde. The office and those in charge of running the location were kind, efficient, and generally a pleasure to work with. Direct management in the warehouse would often micromanage and generally gave off negativity and stressful and contradictory instructions, which was common knowledge among the warehouse staff (and even customers/other businesses picking up would observe and note this). This led to a frequent turnover and dissatisfaction with the role amongst co-workers. The pay was good for the skill of the role itself, and you were given the opportunity to interact with a variety of people when filling orders who were usually pleasant and friendly. The work itself could be rote and repetitive, and there was an element of corporate bureaucracy as the company is so large and multinational. The hardest part of the job was the lack of variety in tasks and occasionally heavy physical demands in shoveling large quantities of dry ice. Additionally, the warehouse was a bit run down and poorly maintained/cleaned. If you're patient and okay with being micromanaged and repetitive work, the wage is pretty solid for an entry-level position within the company.

If you like fast paced environment this is where you need to be.
Territory Manager (Former Employee) - New Brunswick - 11 January 2022
Big company. Alot of good people there but lack structure and training. Lack of staff and ressources puts strain on the ressources they do have. Otherwise this is a good paying company with great benefits.
Pros
Salary and collegues
Cons
Systems are not user friendly. Training lacks structure. Lack of training.

Collaborative and Friendly work environment
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Brockville, ON - 17 November 2021
An excellent place to work with friendly staff. There's a fair amount of physical labour involved, but you pick it up quickly. The store was a little dated and could have used an overhaul, but overall a good work environment.

A merger ruined this company
Customer Care Associate (Current Employee) - Canada - 10 November 2021
I have worked here for a decade, the first 8 years of my employment we were under a Praxair company. A merger fell in place and slashes, cuts, layoffs and less benefits fell in to place. Profits at the happiness of their employees. A false sense of safety being the highest priority, until it costs money. In the healthcare division we have home service advisors who are on call, and receive an on call wage, on a fairly regular basis you will get a phone call while at home asking work related questions. I’ve received pay raises basically every year, however they match inflation so I basically make the same as I did 10 years ago. The merger killed what was good about this company. Now there is nothing
Pros
Two times a year during inventory you get lunch provided
Cons
There are many, poor salary, poor review process, poor safety practices, neglect of regulations.
