I would show empathy. Respect and positivity.

Allow people to come to me and feel safe with there thoughts or concerns.
Create a new structure for customer service. Enforce a training program to make sure everyone is doing well. Everyone learns differently.
Create daily goals. Hire three people full time, one for parts, one for technicians and one for follow up with those and the customer. Allow the front office staff to be able to help the customers at hand. While balancing the ones on the phone.
Work together. Allow time uninterrupted to catch up with customers. 30mins to an hours.
