Get assigned to a certain assembly job and assemble seats. You usually rotate between different jobs and learn a new one once in a while. Learned time management (you are timed for assembling) to efficiently keep the assembly line running on time. Also learned Managerial skills as I was close to the manager and asked him about his daily tasks in the workplace.

I Love my job, unfortunately automotive has taken a downward toll in the Durham region and I need to prepare myself for the worst. Fair work and fair pay. Management is very understanding and pay is very competitive for the logistics market

Not a comfortable place to work.
Micro-managed from head office. Opportunity to move up is limited.
There is a problem attracting good employees. My location was this way.

Decent workplace
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) –  Ajax, ON20 June 2017
Work started off great, training was given (Although it was not the best), jobs are relatively easy when taught correctly, most workers are nice, lots of workers and mainly management favour only full-time workers and treat temporary or part-time workers with disrespect. Some jobs were fun and enjoyable, able to listen to music for some of them. Most enjoyable part of the job was specific jobs if assigned to them, otherwise - going home.
Pros
Flexible scheduling for part timers
Cons
Supervisors

Job kept me very busy and was easy for me to focus on the task at hand. It was easy to get along with other coworkers and management was always willing to help most of the time.

Assembler (Former Employee) –  St. Thomas, ON18 January 2017
Lear was a physically demanding job, with long hours & swing shifts. I learned team work, time management, & instructing new employees. Management was fair. Most co-workers were very pleasant to work with. New model launches were toughest part of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the end product & being able to take pride in your work.

You must account for every second of your day. Makes you feel like you're in prison.

A typical Tier 1 Auto Supplier. Make counts first, quality second. Employees treated like a number, not a person.

Production Associate (Former Employee) –  St. Thomas, ON10 August 2012
Having to watch what you say to whom you say it too is bad. If someone didn't like you or felt threatened by you, they would try to make your life misserable.
