do your job follow the system and if you can sell you will make a ton of money and there's room to move up he ladder if you want always get your customers outside on a walk around to ensure your finding and their needs its easier once you go back and present your findings with the price and cost of job
If they have good leads they keep them for themselves. The scam is that you have to give the customer a super high price and then let the consumer work you down to a lower price. By the time the customer agrees to accept a price, it is so low that you get no commission. A lot of the leads are unqualified. Many times there are no leads to go around and you sit by the phone waiting for a call. It's a terrible job run by vacuum cleaner salespeople who are crooks. No professionals here, just misfits and scammers.
Decent product, but way overpriced - competing products are 1/10th of the cost. But the real problem is the way they do business. Highly deceptive, dishonest. Not local, not fair, 100% slimy, slimy scam. They will promise you big money, and deliver you sorrow and heartache. Someone needs to shine the light on awful things like this. Deceptive. Low Grade Its like one step up from a mail scam. Id love to pour hours into this review, but that would wasting even more time in this awful experience. The actual $ numbers would make you puke. You're welcome.
I worked there for 2 mths, I am a professional sales rep by trade and have not seen such a thing. The send you out to leads that are not even warm. At trade shows they pressure people to give there info and then send a rep to there house to pressure and harass the home owner until they buy the product and or kick you out of the house. It’s a one call close . In the two months I had the most sales and made a total of $2367.98 I spent 1500 in fuel in my own vehicle, long distance calls to the USA with my own cell phone ($746.) 200 on oil changes. You start your sales at $36/Lin foot and you keep coming down till your commission is gone and the home owner buys. Now what they will tell you is it’s better to get a sale then lose a sale even if it means no commission. I now work for a real exterior company and I have sold over $1.5 million in sales this year alone of trough and gutter protection and have made good money doing it, not having to pressure the customer. Stay away they will use and abuse you, kick you to the curb and bring in more people to take advantage of. My entire class of 10 left in the 2 month time frame that’s got to say something about there seedy ways.
None at all
Cost you money to work there, high km on your own vehicle, no fuel paid for homeowners will threaten to call the police to get you out of there homes
Do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your time . There are plenty of other great commission sales jobs in th the lower mainland, Vancouver and the island. High pressure sales, total scam for the poor homeowners who fork out the $36 per linear foot and it's just total joke of a company.
I need more than one line and 50 characters
This is not a job for everyone. Installers need to take pride in their work and follow the process to minimize quality issues. Don't blame the company for requiring standards. The sales/estimators need to understand the business philosophy of same day sales. Don't blame the company for your inability to sell a customer. Managers, all have strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately are responsible for hitting objectives as set by corporate. This is a $350+ MILLION DOLLAR company, the 5TH largest home renovator in North America.
flexible schedule, above average income potential.
Fast paced environent, high expectations.
2/3 of installs never happened because they never have enough installers. The work culture is competitive but not sustainable. Work is non stop. if you like to go like crazy and never stop working this is the best place to work. they fire operation managers regularly.
lots of appointments
can't seem to install the sales generated

As an event marketer You are asked to basically harass every person that walks by your booth And to continually pressure them to get their name and whatnot for you to pass onto the telemarketing crew. The telemarketers will then set up appointment for an extremely high pressured over priced sales pitch that may work in America but is bothersome for Canadian people. The Product itself is very Creative and looks of excellent quality My problem is of the way it is sold and distributed here in Canada I have also heard many many horror stories from previous customers about after sale service issues as well as from potential customers that had estimates and felt bullied and that the price ( upwards of $30/linear foot) was excessive. NOT Worth the effort to work at this sweatshop
Quality product for sure
So many negative and obtuse things.
American company with American job couture. Terrible, terrible management, install managers go to the US. for training ( gutter school ) on how to install gutter protection and also how to maximize profits at all cost. If that means scre...wing the installer, sales reps and the customer over then so be it, it’s all about the money with these guys and believe me it’s all about the money, You’r a absolute nobody in they’r books. They send you to canceled jobs hours away, with wrong colour, Bad info, etc. It’s your loss. They deduct pay with no explanation. Horrible communication and lack of information to get the job done, you figure it out! Constantly on you back to work 24/7, they just won’t stop demanding you working 10-12 hour days, all days. Ps. You are never going to make $1500- 2500 a week when it’s all set and done. Just stay away!
Pretty much everything
I've been installing for leaf filter for about a month and a bit now, though there wasn't much in the form of training, the job is extremely straight forward and pays very well. As long as you cross your T's and dot your i's its a nice stream line gig. The only complaint i would have is some days you have to travel quite far to a job, and though they pay travel, its still very time consuming! Owen sound from London is 3.5 hours both ways, that's almost an 8 hour day in travel alone. As for managers, I see a lot of people complaining about "favorites" but I've noticed as long as you are honest and keep communication open with them they will help you with anything you need. note to those who are complaining; If all you do is complain, would you want to deal with you?
Work alone, exceptional pay for ease of workload
Travel, they pay it but you still have to actually do it
Allows the opportunity to sell the best professionally installed gutter protection system in the market which allows huge earning potential. Issues with installs and getting paid timely
big pay outs
waiting too long for pay, poor communication from management.
Strict money grabbing with far too many customer problem that are ignored for months. No life as you have no time for family.
Poor product that doesn’t work in our winters. Poor installers as they are paid well below the going rate. They are not employees and receive very little training. They do not clean out most gutters as promised. Salespeople don’t know why they have parts of their jobs deducted from their pay. As there usually is never a reason on the statement. Appts are not confirmed and many salespeople quit due to poor appts. The homeowner doesn’t know why we showed up. There is a lot of driving. You might have an appt in Niagara and then Brampton and then Bracebridge. They don’t pay gas or mileage. A very American Military style company where you are treated like a grunt.
Don’t know the Canadian marketplace. They just grab the money aggressively.
