Lavelle Employee Review
Super fun place to have fun and network
Server (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 3 September 2022
This place gets very busy. So it needs people who are willing to work hard and if you are one of those, this is a great place to work at. Lovely staff (except a few). Can be exhausting but super fun to work

Fun in the sun!!

I never worked on a roof top patio it was great fun. Guests were fun and entertaining especially on busy weekends. The serving team was great and made so many friends this summer. Management was helpful and respectful throughout the summer chaos. I'm looking forward to returning next summer for a double dip of fun......

No one knows what they're doing, drinks and food take a while to come out, not because it takes long to make, but because no one is running them. You'll be busy not because you're swamped with tables, but because none of your tables have plates, glasses, cutlery etc.

Make a ton of money but you have no life
Server (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 26 May 2022
You start around 4-5, usually doesn’t pick up until 7-8 then pretty much turns into a club, which means you typically work until 3-5am. The staff felt like family which was great but management was terrible. They prioritized money over absolutely everything, by which I mean they turn a blind eye to anything if there’s money coming in. They lack leadership skills and are quick to throw you under the bus if it means saving their own ***. If you expect to enjoy any time to yourself, don’t. They expect you to work 5x/week,10-14hours/day and will schedule last minute meetings with couple day notice and expect you to cancel any and all plans to attend these meetings. If you want to make a lots of money but don’t care about having much of a life during the summer, this place is good for that. They’re also very protective of their reputation, there was a incident which led to a staff member getting severely injured and the director was adamant on not calling the ambulance because she didn’t want to cause a scene. Be careful working there, keep to yourself and make some good friends with those around you but know that they want you to fall in line or will throw you out quicker than you can blink.
