Awful Company
Former Employee (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB7 November 2019
I would not recommend anyone work for this company. Upper management team is awful, arrogant and rude. Benefits are standard for the industry, but the pay is on the low end.

This company has full benefits program which is good and they don't treat you too bad until you keep you head down and take it like a man! They clearly have favoritism it's usually whoever can get in their all the way up Browne and being white doesn't hurt either

Would not recommend
Driver (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB26 April 2019
Upper Management has no appreciation for your hard work. Very arrogant. Middle management tries but is largely stymied by Upper management. Very low pay. Company went 8 + years without a floor level pay increase. Decent benefits though. Equipment is leased, new every 5 years but cheap. Dispatch is a good guy. Overall would not recommend.
Pros
Decent hours
Cons
Pay. Poor culture.

The most enjoyable labor experience
Consolidation Laborer (Current Employee) –  Edmonton, AB1 September 2018
This is by far the most fun and relaxed job I've ever had. The work they do is extremely important and time sensitive, but the work environment and incentives, like pizza lunches and time-off, take the stressful component out of it. There's never a dull moment in this warehouse. Management likes to get to know all their employees on a personal first-name basis and they treat them with the utmost respect.
Pros
Pizza lunches and Lots of fun
Cons
Comparatively low pay

Driver (Current Employee) –  Edmonton, AB29 June 2018
The hardest part of the job is not knowing what u will be doing on a daily basis . Drivers asked to stay at home but will call if some pick ups arrive..Sometimes work a few hrs then sent home..Drivers are very good to work with..Culture in the warehouse is very negative.

Small company lacking structure
Forklift operator / LTL planner (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB3 April 2017
Working for Landtran provided some knowledge on the intricacies of logistics. The pay was that of an entry level position in the industry, however your responsibilities may suggest a more senior level within the organization as mine did.

Landtran provides a safe, but sometimes volatile environment in regards to best practice and standard operating procedures. In my opinion Landtran is a stepping stone for any would be logistics professional to get a glimpse into the world of a smaller logistics company's strategies are in a very competitive market.
Pros
Good hours conducive of a family lifestyle
Cons
low pay, lack of structure

Quite a bit of variety. Home most nights.
Professional Truck Driver/Warehousing (Current Employee) –  Prince George, BC14 January 2017
A lot of firsts here. And not good ones! The only place I have worked that hasn't given a raise after your probationary period, let alone a cost of living increase. Old trucks/trailers /forklift s/dock plates and buildings . They expect you to work in the elements but don't even supply a coffee machine to warm up with on the winter. They went from having one of the best benefit programs to the second worst!. I could go on and on...

A tight nit group of employees, who work extremely well together.
Company Dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB7 September 2015
A shoot from the hip operation most days. Although the warehouse staff is a fun loving group to work with, unfortunately they were not rewarded financially. The amount of work expected from the warehouse was for the most part fair, but some of the other management wasn't always on the ball. A lack of experience within some of the management was obvious, as other members of management has to back fill certain aspects of the work. Overall, fun place to work, and if you want employment security, this is it.
Pros
Great co-workers.
Cons
Money could be better, but it's consistent.
