When I was hired in September, all the training spots were filled so I did not start until October. If it were not for the Thanksgiving holiday, I could have finished my training in a week and be paid for trying out my assigned route that same week.

If you are a spare driver, you might as well consider yourself on call 24/7.
They cannot be organized enough to give you any realistic expectation on when you will start and finish work.

They tell you they allow flexible hours ,but in practise they have multiple policies they can fall back on to manipulate you into working 6-7 days a week.
The managers favourites will get all the good charters and you will be left picking scraps.
They claim you must work school bus hours before you are eligible for charters and transit, yet there are multiple staff that are exempt from this rule ,declining the extra shifts can be difficult and they will harrass you.

Nope. No health benefits.
However Sinton has monetary driver incentives for good attendance and other sich things. There are driver events like Appreciation Breakfasts and BBQ. Also gov't is oroviding $3000 subsidy to drivers for Driver Retention Program.
