If you were in charge, what would you do to make Lakeridge Health a better place to work?

  • Deal with bad management immediately. There are some managers and CPL's that are highly unethical. Some participate in harassment and micromanagement that borders on harassment. Some are severely detrimental to the already affected culture at Lakeridge. This mainly includes other sites than Oshawa.

  • Huge investment into a culture of a pro nursing, positive encouraging atmosphere. Then watch the ratings soar. High turnover = abused staff.

  • Get rid of most managers hire more staff nurses listen to your staff ideas

  • Drastic restructuring to refocus capital expenditures and existing resources to the organization's goal of One System, Best Health. It's hard to champion a mission statement when you have individuals in power with little to clinical background making anywhere from 100-300k+. Those dollars could be better spent on equipment and front line staff. Also, recoup office space for patient rooms.
