Laborer (Former Employee) – Edmore, MI – 17 October 2018
You had to punch in within a certain time period no earlier than a couple minutes before the time to start. The employees were walked out frequently. I was fired because I wanted a raise and they decided I called in too many times and fired me the day after i asked for the raise,
They gave people scrap wood that wasn't good for the parts they made
Long hours with a 45 minute lunch break and no other breaks
Employee (Current Employee) – Edmore, MI – 6 December 2012
I have been with Lakeland Mills, inc. for almost 17 years. I have learned what I believe to be a good work ethic from Lakeland Mills. I have expanded my knowledge of working on machines and my creativity of designing and working on products. Most all of my coworkers are fine although some of them have a do as little as possible attitude and have the this company owes me something attitude, which does not help the company. The hardest part of the job varies right now it is going to work while it is dark and getting out when it is dark.
very flexible with employees, the option of having extra benifits or getting more vacation time.
set up specialist/production (Current Employee) – Edmore, MI – 26 February 2012
I have been with this company for 15 years and have seen it go through many ups and downs. I believe that the owners are just trying to get by and not looking to improve product or become innovative in the ways they produce their products.
flexible with employees with unforeseen time off.
owner seem to feud with each other, little to no respect for employees, owes most of the employees money
