They used to value their employees and those who put in many years and dedication but not the same since they became Lafargeholcim, now employees are just numbers and not approached or sought out if they have qualifications for a higher position. Used to love this company but it’s has changed for the worse when it comes to how they treat their employees.
Safety is pushed by company And you will get wrote up if you don’t follow procedures but procedures go out the window when somethings broke down and They threaten to fire you if you don’t do the job. Union protection Is nonexistent union executive is only there to take their yearly trips to Vegas and spend union members money on foolishness.You’ve been warned!
Not a good company to work for. Management will do all they can to not help. Will say they are a safety driven business. But want you to work pass you HOS on a regular basis. Dispatch will pressure you as well, which they are directed by management. It is a union environment that will take your money but will not assist you if mangement tried to push you out if you do not listen to them when you voice your right about unsafe working condition
Strong emphasis on operational experience and P&L knowledge. Interests in heavy equipment and construction would be of value. Flat organization requires you to take on responsibility early in your career.
