Mainly contract positions, even with lots of training on different analysts you have no security of being signed on full time or extending your contract

Depressing, meaningless, underpaid work
Sample Prep Technician (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON4 August 2018
You work for a cigarette company, measuring the chemicals in cigarettes. The work is meaningless. If the company disappeared tomorrow, the world would be no worse off. The place is painted in a depressing yellow. You are a factory worker with a fancy degree.

Recent Graduates hired alot
Chemistry (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON3 December 2017
It is a good place to start your career as they hire a lot of people straight from school. It is a high pressure work environment and thus animosity between the staff. There is a good chance of advancement as they are growing. They don't really care about employees and will blame you from anything that goes wrong. They also expect you to basically give up your personal life.
Pros
hire recent graduates
Cons
long hours, general negativity

Sample Preparation Technician (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON25 September 2017
The co-workers are amazing and everyone usually treats others with respect. The pay is not what it should be. It is rotating shift work and you are either extremely busy or have very slow shifts.

BUSINESS ANALYST & CUSTOMER SERVICE (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON7 February 2017
Although it was short, I appreciated the time everyone had spent training and encouraging me in my new role.
Friendly management, answered all my questions and responded to emails quickly.
Hardest part of this job was understanding the terminology. This was a work in progress for me as I was still learning.

Laboratory Sample Preparation Technician (Current Employee) –  Kitchener, ON24 March 2015
Good place to start a career in the industry. The pay is low but the experience is an asset. May be difficult to move up in the company but is a great fit for a young proffesional. Mandatory overtime in the spring and summer, very slow in the winter.
Pros
Good work, predictable expectations, good start after university/college
Cons
mandatory overtime, weak payscale
