I loved meeting new people everyday and that if a customer I had helped before came in that they remembered who I was. I always remembered a customer that came in the store. I learned a lot of new skills being an assistant manager as well as perfecting my customer service.

Management horrible. They tell you they want part time but slowly trick you to full time. I use to be a stock associate loved the job but not the people very gossipy and rude and the managers are not so nice. fake personalities. Barely get days off .

Initially, the interview started with the hiring manager getting straight to the point. She asked the typical interview questions such as "Tell me about your previous work/volunteer work experiences", "Why do you want to work at La Vie en Rose" on top of availability and possible start day. I think what is important is connecting with the employer at a personal level to get the interview more relaxed in which you are answering your questions through a conversation rather than in an essay-like format. It is better to calm your nervous mood and have a better chance of engaging the manager because at the end of the day, the manager hires the ones that she likes. The connection can be initiated in simple ways such as compliment to her outfits or through what you have observed through the interview when she is talking, trying to mention any common grounds. The manager would appreciate it and would allow the interview to go smoother and I believe this would ulitmately increase the chance of employment at any company as they would remember you and appreciate you for who you are. I also suggest you being friendly with the employees before the interview for them to give the manager a positive feedback and to show the manager that if you are to be hired, you would interact well with your co-workers. If you are having trouble kindling this connection in a personal level however, try to engage them professionally. You have to prove you are an asset to the company. In the interview, you are trying to do is trying to sell yourself to the manager and looking apart from other candidates to convince her that she should hire you. You should mention some researched facts about the company in the questions that are asked, especially "Why do you want to work at La vie en Rose?". My strongest advice to set yourself apart is to express that you would be willing to do something that you know other workers would not like to do or would avoid doing. For example, if it is La vie en rose, express your willingness to fold the panty tables that are known to be nutorious but show that you would be hard working and would be a loss to the company if they did not hire you. At the end, it is important, no, VERY important to ask questions at the end. I suggest refraining from asking the standard questions to ask more sophisticated questions such as "What are some of the challenges in your company that this position can help resolve?". This lets them know that you are not interested in the job only for yourself but that you are thinking to invest yourself in the company. It is also advisable that you ask them something about themselves such as how they came to work for the company and their experiences so far working for the company.
