Awful Culture, Turnover & Worklife Balance vs. Great benefits and Opps
Associate Brand Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON9 November 2018
PROS:

If you have the mentality that you want to work 10+ hours every day including weekends then there is a lot of opportunity to grow at lower levels as there are so many openings due to a high turnover rate:

EX: in 2017 the marketing turnover rate was at 40%
EX: in 2018 they held out their turnover rate as a company world wide due to the fact that it was substantially higher than industry averages.

Benefits are great in terms of RRSP and they have basic medical/dental.

Salary is competitive and bonus structure looks fantastic on paper but the company has very high/unrealistic targets versus industry trends and if the company globally doesn't hit their targets, the whole bonus is scrapped.
- Salary is competitive initially but then only small increases are seen that aren't commensurate with the job titles you will receive after promotions.

EX: in 2017 the whole company did not receive a bonus even if you were an employee at the Canada subsidiary that hit all their targets

CONS:

After initial competitive salary the company entices promotions through job title opposed to salary increases (this is a pro or con depending on your mentality)

Little to no work perks in terms of company thrown events, sports tickets, music tickets, etc.

Little to no work life balance, no company perks in terms of employee recognition.

EX: The last year I was there they did not even throw a christmas party - they skimped out on dinner and provided finger foods and 2 drink tickets at a less than desirable venue to encourage low attendance.

EX: Held a "CANADA
more... WIDE CONFERENCE" and invited almost but not all of the employees. They literally left about 50 employess without an invite and had no structure to how attendees were chosen,

HR is not a support function but looked at as a main business driver. There is a lack of trust between employees and this department which rules alot more by fear and intimidation which is driven by aloof answers to questions and concealment of information.

This company has an awful mentality in terms of providing little to no resources and placing all of the onus on their employees - it is a true "Sink or Swim" mentality with little to no support at entry level positions which they define as "ownership"; One of their core values.

All they do is lean out their company and cost-out their products (reduce quality with cheaper ingredients) and keep salaries capped.

Managment (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON14 October 2018
Great career prospects and gives a lot of ownership to employees. As the slogan states, its not for everyone but is amazing for a few. Working hours are long though.

Manager of Training and Development (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON11 October 2018
It was a company that was under a lot of change while I was there so it was a little disorganized. I was there for a short period so I doubt it was like that all the time.

Pros

Didn't really like it, stayed for the money
Operator/Labourer (Former Employee) –  St. Marys, ON14 August 2018
I don't really have anything good to say about them. When kraft and heinz merged they shut down our plant even though we produced more then others, made less money then other plants, etc.

they didn't care about employees, sure the money was good, benefits were good, but the management was terrible.. Nothing nice to say so I won't say anything..

They are all about the money and have no care or concern for employees, just a number to them
Pros
money was good
Cons
some of the people were terrible to work with

You may need to reconsider before joining
Analyst (Former Employee) –  North York, ON19 July 2018
It is a typical 3G company. They don't care about how you feel or they don't really treat you as an individual. But don't make me wrong, it is a global company that set you in a high position for future career growth.

Used to be good
Manager (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON25 May 2018
The change in management has led to the downfall of this company. They keep preaching meritocracy but never follow through. Merit is based off of whether your manager likes you or not. Everything else they tell you is lies so don’t believe it. They try to have these “social” gatherings to make up for everything but it doesn’t work. Everyone is still bitter. They need to understand that a CANADIAN needs to manage the largest team in the organization and provide you with good relevant feedback during a performance review. Not a place I would want to work.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Meritocracy (practice what you preach), no work life balance
