Good place to get CPA

Senior Accountant (Current Employee) - Victoria, BC - 18 September 2023

Lots of learning potential, but lacking in general office management and no dedicated resource planner results in very disorganized staffing on jobs. Overall office environment is also very disorganized, need a dedicated office manager that actually takes responsibility for these tasks. Good CPA support through the PEP program, but low pay results in most leaving after finishing.

KPMG is a great place to start your career. It opens the door to many opportunities and there’s a lot to learn and room for growth. There are some long days during busy season and high expectations but it’s worth it for the experience you gain

Good benefits package, not worth it

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Victoria, BC - 5 January 2023

I worked at KPMG as an administrative assistant for 3 years. It is very corporate and impersonal. Their benefits package is very generous, however, monetary compensation is embarrassingly low. Training for administrative staff is basically non-existent and there is minimal room for growth if you are not an accountant. The company does host fun work events and allows you to be involved in various community initiatives as well. Most of the year the work-life balance is fair but during tax season overtime is expected of most if not all employees.
