Great place to work
Apprentice Electrician (Current Employee) –  Edmonton, AB13 May 2019
K-Jay Electric is a great place to be employed and I feel like the owners really do care about my well being and success. Working in the commercial division has given me the ability to develop a good understanding of the electrical trade. I will continue to work here as long as I can.
Pros
great co-workers, lots of regular hours, opportunity to advance
Cons
none to speak of

First Year Apprentice Electrician (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB22 January 2018
okay place to learn, very fast paced,
average work being done,
they require you to come in, in the morning and work for 1 hour for free while you load up your vans. no overtime, no benefits and no job security

Good place to get a foot in the door.
Apprentice Electrician (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB6 December 2017
Terrible place to work, wouldn't recommend anyone take a job with this company. Journeyman ratio is almost non exsistent. Pay is poor as well as overtime is banked. Benefits only after a year, spending vast amounts of money on gas is required for starters. I have also witnessed abusive behaviour in the workplace. If any company needs unionization it is K-Jay Electric.
Pros
Get indentured into the trade.
Cons
Too many to list.

Apprentice Electrician (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB13 May 2016
I worked here for just under a year.

The job wasn't for me. Good on anyone who can make it work

They made me drive my own vehicle to site everyday with zero compensation. I lived in spruce grove and they made me drive to sherwood park EVERY SINGLE DAY
