Management and supervisors a JOKE
Laundry worker (Former Employee) - Teeswater - 27 July 2023
This job is pathetic. Supervisors show absolute favouritism. Company should ask employees for their opinion on shifts and hours but instead wait until complaints to union by employees. Mandatory overtime and holidays denied during this time!! No work/life until employees begin to quit! Steer clear!! Not worth it especially if you are a parent or someone with a life outside of work
Pros
More than minimum wage
Cons
Mandatory overtime, no work life, favouritism

High expectations, low reward
Administrative Assistant/Receptionist (Current Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 25 July 2023
Work/life balance is discussed but isn’t always obtainable. Almost everything is last minute, tight deadline turn around. Overtime is expected. Benefits are good, pay is decent union rep only helps who they want. Team moral used to be better 10+ years ago.
Cons
Long hours

Horrible
Senior Tax Manager (Former Employee) - Kipling, ON - 30 June 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The paid was decent especially since they paid for overtime (when approved). What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Unrealistic expectations in all areas of the job (timelines, hours of work, continuous last min requests) and archaic processes/systems. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Blame culture, rooted from top management. Someone was also a scapegoat, even if information was not shared or issued existed from years before joining the company. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Depends on the day and the department. In finance there was a lot of rework needed due to system crashes and poor design. There would always be last min request near the end of the day and everyone was on pin and needles whenever the CFO was around.

Fast paced but rewarding workplace
Assistant (Former Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 23 August 2022
Overall a fast-paced environment. The culture initiatives used to be lacking, however, this has improved in recent years. Salary is competitive and there is a lot of room for growth.

Decent Place to Work
Technologist (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 2 April 2022
The company takes safety very seriously. Compensation and benefits are excellent. The people (colleagues, managers) are very respectful and helpful. The work itself is quite interesting. The only drawback is that it seems understaffed which means everything becomes extremely rushed when deadlines approach.

Old style Engineering Firm
Engineering Summer Student (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 13 November 2019
Standard old style workplace. Everyone has a cubicle to work in and the are separate rooms for meetings. Everyone I dealt with was nice and the environment was fairly good. They operate on flex hours and are pretty lenient so long as the work gets done well.

Loved working with my team
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 29 May 2019
You learn how everyone works differently. I was exposed to how all the departments functioned. It was usually busy most of the time which I loved the most out of it.
