Kindred in Fredericton has gotten worse with certain management but overall it wasn't bad work and the pay wasn't horrible just wish scheduling was better. I would get scheduled two hours at one place then two hours at another house across town then two hours at another house that's a 45 min drive away and they don't pay gas so I just wish they could schedule more consistently in one area so as not to have the care givers driver all over the place all day
Job has no benefits and they dont care about your home life. The reasoning they didnt do any type of protocol for bed bugs or houses in fested in wild life they kept sending workers to there place traveling and no payed for milage. 60 to 70 some hours a week no time off... and refused to look at pay stubs if hours or time wS messed up blaming there workers
Good job overall. But not great as a full time job. Shifts are 2-4 hours long, and even if you have multiple a day, makes the day feel long without a lot of hours. Lovely clients. Most of your clients will just have you clean their house. No benefits and they don't pay mileage. but they give you the PSW course which is a bonus for sure
Management is hard to get a hold of, clients can be difficult to work with, no balance, often working 6-7 days a week. HOWEVER, it is needed work and you become close with many of the clients
Doin good in your community
Hard on the individual
Working for Kindred has given me a new perspective on life. It has allowed me to realize my passion in life in an educational and productive way. Flexible schedules, good hours and great management staff.
Kindred homecare goes above and beyond to try and ensure each individual client has 1 good fit. Meaning 1 client, to the same caregiver. The company is good about working around sports schedules/appointments. We are praised constantly for the work that we do. They try to make us feel good about our job title.
No benefits, no kms paid, paid low
