Slow paced.
Shuttle Driver (Current Employee) - Parts and Service - 25 November 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThere really has been no proof they need a Shuttle Driver as i do not get many hours. Currently i call in at 4:00 p.m. to inquire whether they need me the next day. This week Monday to Thursday i got 4 hrs in. The staff all seem very friendly and respectful of a fluent mix of people and welcoming. A negative is that all employees have to contribute $10/mth for a social fund. I work mornings, only, so i do not get the benefit of any of the social events so i believe your involvement should be based on hours.
Pros
Meeting people.
Cons
Not busy.

Fun Workplace
Finance Manager (Former Employee) - British Columbia - 5 August 2023
I work at Kia Peru, and it was good work for the payment, but the environment was so toxic. The people are not so good and I didn't feel good there. .

Best work place environment ever
Business Development center (Current Employee) - Barrie, ON - 26 April 2023
I got offered a job in sales but I'm having some issues with some paperwork due to the recent government strike. My Manager and General Manager made me part of the time and they put every effort to keep me employed and part of team. I've have been treated more like family then just an employee, the effort my team makes for me is like no other, I am personally grateful!
Pros
flexible and committed
Cons
non so far

burn through staff
Manager (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 5 December 2022
Zero respect for employees as people. Rather employees are viewed as a number, just a headcount. only way to be acknowledged for your work is to be a squeaky wheel.

Customer Experience Representative (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 14 August 2022
If you have other choice, don’t hesitate!! Management team takes no responsibility, no respect to fellow employees, fair low salary when comparing to other companies with similar responsibilities and duties

Terrible place for Lot Attendants
Lot Attendant/ Detailer (Current Employee) - Richmond, BC - 8 August 2022
Constant tasks from management with minimal support while dealing with frustrated customers. Too much responsibility for a casual job. Terrible experience.

Stressful and overworked
service department (Former Employee) - Victoria, BC - 20 July 2022
The service department is a revolving door. Stressful, thankless job. Your basically glued to the phone all day and barked at to rip customers off on their service appointments. Money is all that matters. "Family Business"..... yeah right

Don’t do it you can find something better
Car Detailer (Former Employee) - Kelowna, BC - 28 May 2022
The kots are not good people. Don’t work for them. Biggest con for me was pay periods were based off the salesman. So you have to get an advance and whatever then your remainder is.
Pros
They give you a turkey around thanksgiving and Christmas gift of $50 gf and/or Kia gloves or toque
Cons
Will ask you to work OT and not pay you for it. Terrible wages

Jobs at KIA Motors
Awful management sets you up for failure
Sherwood Kia (Former Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 26 May 2022
Management sets you up to fail. Refuse to train you, but get angry when you don’t do things their way. A lot of illegal practices going on here, if amvic walked in they’d shut them down

A place to be proud to work for
Receptionist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 7 November 2021
This dealership makes employees and customers feel like family. Amazing bunch of people to work with. They go above and beyond for customers. Sales manager is the single most kind person I’ve ever worked for. The controller also goes above and beyond to make sure you’re being looked after. It was definitely very difficult for me to leave this work place.
Pros
Free lunches/breakfast, Christmas parties, positive work environment, dental benefits, working as a team
Cons
Salary

District parts and service manager (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 9 October 2021
Revolving door for employees much back stabbing. Upper Manager was good but unfortunately moved on. Apparently now all new employees including management.
Pros
Excellent vehicles
Cons
No support or acknowledgement of job well done

Stay far away
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 7 May 2021
Demoralizing place to work. There is no work life balance. Expected to work extremely long hours everyday and frowned upon if you left at a regular time, as per your contract. Management is unapproachable, especially Director of Marketing, delusion of Grandeur. Glad I got out for my own sanity.
Pros
Car
Cons
Long hours. No life work balance

Do not apply here any positions
Product Advisor (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 24 February 2021
Managers are horrible and they don’t know how to manage the team and leading a team. No training and yelled a lot. I don’t mind they yell me after trained . They do not have any training and no education very unorganized system. I didn’t learn anything from here. As a salesman don’t do anything here. Worked more than month i still didn’t have business card and they don’t update my profile photo in company website. I did only sales call for 12 hours
Pros
Closed to my home
Cons
Managers

Legal Assistant (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 30 January 2021
Never worked for a more demoralizing workplace. Management treatment of staff is subjective. You are just a number, expectations were unrealistic and never shown any gratitude, manager took credit for your work
Cons
Long hours

I absolutely love my position at Kia (Smithsfalls)
Detailer/Cleaner (Current Employee) - Smiths Falls, ON - 7 January 2021
I have now been with Kia for 1+ years and I absolutely love my job and everyone I work with. The majority of employees have been there for over 5 years. Which speaks volumes. The manager goes above and beyond to accommodate everyone and their specific needs. She is very compassionate, caring and understanding. I am beyond great full for everything Kia has done for myself specifically and others. It is a great place to work and I would highly recommend to otters.

It was a fun place to work and great people to work with. It wasn't the biggest group which was nice. People were fair in sharing ups/leads. Great management.
Pros
employees, good spiffs, lots of incentives, treated well
Cons
long hours, but better than some other dealerships

Mauvaise concession
Conseiller aux ventes (Former Employee) - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC - 15 May 2020
Mauvaise expérience, mais demeure que kia tient à coeur ses clients.
Je recommande si la direction traite bien ses subalternes.
