A typical day consisted of stocking shelves with new products, removing expired foods, making sure the oldest products were shifted to the front of the shelf, putting freight away in the back, and helping customers find products they were looking for.
Working in customer service made me learn how to calmly interact with all sorts of people, from the very nice ones to the difficult, cranky ones, as well as how to work independently alone or in an efficient team with others.
The management, while not perfect, was quite considerate to the workers and ran things fairly.
Co-workers too were nice and they were easy to work with.
The most difficult part of the job was working under a lot of pressure during holiday season.
The most enjoyable was the fact that tasks were varied and so could be changed up. Most of all, I enjoyed the exercise, taking products out to the shelves and staying in the back to put freight away.
