Ok place to work.
Admin (Current Employee) –  Regina, SK20 August 2019
Great people to work this. Most management is good to work for ... some not so much.
Managers are at time to busy talking to really listen. No one person knows everything.

Basically slave labour
Truck Driver/Equipment Operator (Former Employee) –  Saskatoon, SK30 July 2019
This office couldn't manage a drunken party in a brewery! Poor planning of loads, poor site evaluations qhich results in 2 guys unloading 16,000lbs of board by hand. OHC is a joke usually staffed by untrained and unqualified members.

Truck mounted crane training was a joke, spent my minimum required 10 hours on houses. Once certified was delivering to condos four stories in the air.

Equipment is consistently breaking down, at one point all our crane trucks were in the shop. Manager sent a trailer out with an out of date safety. Police pulled the driver over and had them leave the trailer on the side of the road.
Pros
Free clothing, good co-workers
Cons
Long hours, low pay poor training, poor leadership

Hard work for little pay
Driver/Labourer (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB17 June 2019
It’s a good place if you wanna get in shape, but it’s very heavy lifting, can tire your body out quickly. The money isn’t that good for what you have to do. Weight bonus plan is a joke.
Pros
Decent workout, home every night
Cons
Old trucks poorly maintained, pay

Management play favorites
Licensed driver (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB25 May 2019
Been there over a decade.. management talk a good game with the new guys..unfulfilled promises by management. Like to play favorites..seniority means nothing to them..they like to cover there own but and let the employee suffer.dont do it..especially the Winnipeg branch..they have there favorites and they have there snitches..some fellow co workers may seem to be your friend..but be careful..they will go to management and make up stories to further themselves..Don't do it..There is better out there.over 200 employees came through in the decade I was there..its a revolving door. Be prepared to sit at home in the winter with no hours..while the new guys make the hours...

Being a leader in the industry of building supplies this company offers tons of positive experiences. You'll leave their tired and worn but know that you've done a job that is rewarding and that others have done too. You are not alone there, people share the day and it's work load and that's a team.

Crane Operator (Former Employee) –  Regina, SK22 May 2018
The days can be either very long or very short, and these things can change in a moments notice. Management is good, though some are new to their positions or industry. The work is hard, and the staff are cliquy.

Straightforward company with emphasis on building strong management/employee relationships
Delivery Specialist (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB15 May 2018
It is a good place to work. Direct management has delivered drywall before so they understand what the employees deal with. Its striaghtforward work, and your workers around you make sure you feel comfortable doing the work and make sure you are taken care of

Great workplace, stable company
Delivery Specialist (Former Employee) –  Burnaby, BC11 February 2018
This company is by far the best company I have ever worked for. Right from the start I found Kenroc to be very family oriented in terms of events, outings , Christmas parties etc..
They had given me numerous chances for being late or making mistakes(sometimes costly) Very forgiving.
I also found the management/employee relationship to be on good terms. Often a rarity in union outfits. Good environment among fellow workers, fair wages and plenty of training made available and mostly paid for by the company.
Pros
Managment would listen to employee feedback

Swamper/Labourer (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB14 December 2017
Everyone is always happy and loves to joke. The pay is good but the hours are some times long due to management, which isn't horrible but could be better. All in all, not a bad experience.

One of the extremely hard labour and driving jobs .
Driver/ Laborer (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC30 September 2017
This is the kind of job where 70% of people will not last a week .You are lifting 200lbs between two guys going up stairs all day .Some will go out on one job and not show up for work the second day .It takes a certain toughness to do well.
Pros
Pretty good money being in a union
