Cold calls required.
Licensed Broker (Current Employee) –  Bellingham, WA16 July 2018
Expect to make hundreds of scripted cold calls. If you are comfortable with that then you might like the culture there. Also you will have to work for a very long time before you are paid.

A great place to jump start your real estate career with a vast array of training and low desk fees.
Licensed Real Estate Professional (Current Employee) –  Brampton, ON28 May 2018
Real estate training can not be matched and is included as part of your brokerage fees for the most part. Management and communication of training sessions and office events has improved over time. Management is always available for questions and assistance. Support staff is amazing!

Productive but terrible employees
Director of Communications (Former Employee) –  Hamilton, ON21 May 2018
The employees and management staff were unbearably awful. Never responded to emergency and important calls/emails. Never put their staff first whenever their was a concern. Forgot some of my paycheques and cut me almost $100 short every pay period. Ridiculous and would never work there again.

Phenomenal company for agents, lacking for office staff
Market Center Administrator (Current Employee) –  Ontario5 March 2018
The job could be really fun but is dependent on brokerage management and one office to the next is like night and day. A lot is expected of office staff

Its all market driven...
Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON2 February 2018
You're an independent contractor so you control things
Hours are very irregular
High potential financial rewards if you put in the work
Extremely market driven so if the market goes soft that has a greater impact on you.
You make the job what it is.
Pros
Great Training
Cons
Really irregular hours

Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Newmarket, ON and Aurora,ON3 July 2017
Working here was a great experience! I learnt many skills and how to deal with public in many environments. The employees and agents involved within KW always had kind words and appreciation for my work and had open arms when anyone needed assistance. I loved every minute of my time here and recommend it to everyone.

everyone minds their own business until you ask them for help. If they have time out of their busy schedule, then they will mentor you otherwise every person for themselves
Pros

Fun people to work with, always learning new things. Wish pay was better considering the work load. Medium amount of stress, decent intensives to keep things fun.

Unrivalled Culture
Real Estate Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 April 2017
When you think of a real estate brokerage there are a lot of things that come to mind. A culture of sharing, encouragement, and equality isn't usually on that list.
At Keller Williams, from the moment you walk in the door, you are welcomed into the family and immediately thrust into a network of supportive people who have a direct interest in your success.
Whether you are looking at the brokerage as a realtor, staff member, or part of the leadership team, there is something incredibly unique about being included from day 1.
Keller Williams isn't better than any other brokerage but it sure is different!

Great Training programs for self improvement. Coaching is pricey.
Royalties and Commission payoff to the brokerage are definitely not cheap. Capping is very tough but achievable.
Pros
Free Training
Cons
Commission split and Royalties are very expensive.

Fantastic training programs and structure laid out for Realtors and support staff. -
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) –  Burnaby, BC6 January 2017
typical day at work is lead generation, follow up and writing contracts.

I participated in many of the training programs such as The ONE Thing, BOLD Training, and on going coaching with the Mike Ferry Organization and in house training.

Co-workers are wonderful

Hardest part of my job is the location

Most enjoyable is working with my clients to find them what they want and make it a smooth transition for them.

House market is cool off
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) –  Burnaby, BC22 November 2016
It is a fun place to work, self-employed; however, market is cool off due to the 15% foreigner tax and mortgage restriction by the federal government.
Pros
Self-employed, self time management
Cons
Market is cool off, many buyers are speculation the market

An excellent starting point
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON20 September 2016
An excellent brokerage to start with and learn the basics of the real estate profession. Learned many effective sales strategies perfected and handed down through KW's parent company in the states (KW International - KW University) - which has developed it's own in-house "university" with various week-long training classes.

At the end of the day, I did not receive any leads or business from the office - as it is expected for you to use the tools they provide you to build your own business and clientele. Ultimately it was not worth the money paid in by our team, as there are other brokerages who provide the same service for much less cost.

I recommend Keller Williams to anyone who is looking to start their career fresh in the real estate industry, it will be their decision to decide which brokerage fits their needs the most - and which will provide the best value.
Pros
Excellent training
Cons
Commission split structure

Great leadership, best training, excellent support. Management has a open door policy, very supportive an helpful at all times.
Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON15 July 2016
The Mission Statement of Keller Williams Realty is:
"Careers Worth Having, Businesses Worth Owning and Lives Worth Living".
They live up to this ideal each and every day!
The brokerage itself is a family owned business that ranks among the top in Canada.
It is a great joy to be associated with an organization like KW Solid Rock Realty
Co-workers are all helpful and supportive.
I can walk into the management office whenever I have a question.
Cheerful, helpful colleagues and management.
The most difficult challenge I've experience is lead generation. If you want to have a pizza, you go to a pizza restaurant or order one and it is delivered to you. But if someone wants to buy a home or sell their home, they do not come to my office. I have to find those people that want to buy, sell or invest and this has been my greatest challenge. Quite unlike the pharmaceutical business where you have a list of doctors, their contact information and history of previous contacts.
Pros
The best training program in the world
Cons
You are an independent contractor and have to fend for yourself
