Get paid well but ever since covid its been getting worse and worse. Overworked and very underpaid while being stressed and no praise. Can be difficult

Clinical Externs were essentially underpaid PSWs. Managers of this extern program were wonderful and caring, but the actual day-to-day work on the unit you are assigned to was not good. No one really cares about the externs and knows what to do with us. We're only paid $17/hr despite having almost 2 degrees.

Pretty decent place to work at

Pretty busy most of the time. Very structured though, you know what you’re supposed to be doing at all times. The staff you work with can be hit or miss, but the supervisors can be brutal. Constantly hounding you for things, and the communication between management is awful.

Long hours, not enough staff, no breaks, no encouragement from managementBenefits, sick time, and pension are great but if you don't need to focus on this part of the job then move on

Good place to work at. Nurses are great. Great hospital to be working at. Good pay. No issues at all with staff (nurses, doctors, clerks). Hospital floor does need a rebuilt as it is very crowded.

Excellent place to work

Staff is reliable, equipment is up to date. facilities accommodate the population they are serving in 2019. Continues to have staffing issues, but all hospitals have that problem these days.

good staff, excellent mgmt., great place to work. Hard place to find and parking spot at the Juravinski site. Takes a long time to get a transponder or parking space. Over all good place to increase you knowledge base.

This is a unionized hospital which means job security and annual pay increases. There are always staff events going on to boost morale and the managers are always very flexible in helping to accommodate you whenever needed. Being in a union kind of forces them to be accommodating to their staff. Medical and dental benefits are great and it's a great pension. Only complaint is that you have to pay for parking...$110/month.

Some staff were helpful, many were not. Many staff were rude and made inappropriate comments about the clients or students. Students were often not included or left on our own to figure things out and when we asked for help, most staff would be irritated with us. Would never work on this floor ever again, no wonder they are always trying to find new staff...

Productive and fast paced

This position was very hands on and fast paced. Learned alot of new skills to take to the next job position. Enjoyed wearing hard hat and steel toed boots.

great place to be if you are a patient. Great resources too for staff only complaint is parking situation, wish it could be improved. Otherwise great experience at this hospital.
