Johnson Controls Employee Review
Needs re-vamping
Office (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 20 September 2023
This company gives no loyalty. You are a number and once you reach the peak number, out with the old, in with the new. Old managers either ignore you or blame you for not fixing their mistakes quick enough. There are favourites, boy are there favorites. If you do not establish yourself as one of them, expect to find another job soon. Oh and the faves - they will stab you in the back just as soon as look at you. It wasn't always like this. At one point it was a great place to work and most people were treated as equals and shared the work. Once the new, younger managers came in, everything changed. So glad I got out

Fire Alarm Technician (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 21 April 2023
Toxic work environment filled with people ready to make you look bad so they look great. Dont worry about money you wont get a raise for 5 years, even though you break yourself for the company and then they will hire people who are green know nothing about fire alarm systems at a much higher rate than you are earning !!! It really is a special place to work

Was excellent until they hired a different manager
Senior Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 9 October 2022
At work every day I had a agenda to try and see some of my contacts, Engineers or contractors to see what was available for job opportunities in sales.. I learned allot about different types of Chillers. The Manager was good at the office but when they replaced my manager out of the main office in Toronto I felt distance from someone I could trust. The individuals at the office where great until they haired this Engineer who used my name to get the job. He was useless. I loved the challenge when sitting with Engineers and talking about systems, budgeting and design on major projects and specifying Johnson Controls equipment
