Salary is very low as a highway or city truck driver. People are nice trucks are well maintained. Still doesn't make up for below average wage salary in Canada. The cost of having family benefits is $95 a week for 80% coverage. That's almost $5000 per year coming out of your paycheque. Single benefit is about $42 per week. The pay out on you benefits - more ... is far less then what your paying in. Nice people and all but not making enough for the responsibilities associated with handling a truck and trailer. This is suppose to be a career. It's hard when you have to put in 60 to 70 hours a week to make ... - less
ProsNo pros
ConsLong hours with low salary
