As the only airline I've ever worked for I don't have much of a frame of reference. As a whole, I love working at Jazz and don't really have many complaints. I am based in YVR and have heard that the culture varies greatly by base but since we are mostly relatively junior here, we try our best to stick together. Air Canada Mainline treats us like the bottom of the barrel, outcasts and gives us terrible passes compared to the rest of their employees but our union is the best around and fights tooth and nail on our behalf. Overall an amazing place to call home and a great family to be a part of.

Dream job! Great perks! Tons of days off! Amazing coworkers!
I’d highly recommend working at Jazz as a flight attendant. I loved flying and never had to take my work home with me!

Nothing to comment on about this company. Do not work here anymore due to the lack of respect from air canada. They treated jazz very poorly and their employees.

Jazz aviation has a good culture and for that reason it is a good place to work. they give good flight benefits as well as health insurance. Coworkers are also friendly.

Unfortunately, I was unaware as to how cut throat this industry really is, I’m very saddened by how my employment ended. There is no “ one crew concept” which is a shame. I take full responsibility for my wrong doings in my short period of time there, but will not make excuses for some employees whom are given a “free pass” for wrongful doings and others whom are disciplined to the full extent.

Lots of time off, could argue it is the most or least flexible job ever, low salary, very bad management, no team environment - on your own, if you have no post secondary education then it would be a good job since on higher end of customer service salary, union, health benefits,

I loved working as a flight attendant, but unfortunately between working on-call 4-5 days a week, between 12:01am and 11:59pm and the 5000km separating me and my family, it just didn't seem worth while anymore. I would love to have a job where I feel fulfilled, but can also spend time with my friends and family, and unfortunately that was not possible whilst being a flight attendant.
Pros
Travelling
Cons
Long hours, hard on body, far from home

This has been one of the best jobs if not the best job I have ever had. The enjoyment I get every day to interact with passengers is beyond what I can put into words.

The flexiablity and the constant movement is quite amazing. There's always something to do, which makes the job never boring.
Workplace culture is quite great, because we rarely run into the same person; when you do run into a friendly face it's great.

Good company,

A very organized company, with very good opportunities to grow in different directions, but unfortunately, I must invest a good part of my salary keeping a professional image and the salary is not really good.

Then yes, it is a wonderful job, but depends your financial situation.

Hours are spread all over the place.
Six months probation.

You may be on reserve for months or years depending on the base you are placed at.

You may have to make sacrifices. Such as move to a new city. and not being able to attend birthdays and weddings. Due to schedule.
Pros
Benifits.
Cons
Hours

I worked for Jazz for over 15 years and enjoyed my time tremendously. My schedule became more flexible as time went on and I was easily able to balance my work life and family life. The most enjoyable parts of my job were the people I worked with and the people I met on a daily basis. We were given autonomy when working but management was always available if needed.
Pros
Reduced fares, Great management and human resources, Supportive company overall
Cons
Long hours, Aviation industry is unpredictable
