We are an all-day breakfast and lunch cafe located in Victoria and Vancouver. The original Jam opened on Herald St. in Victoria in the spring of 2012 and was immediately embraced by the City and it’s dining community. As the popularity of Jam grew, we knew that we needed to expand our operations and in early 2016 we opened our second venue in downtown Vancouver on Beatty. This was followed by our 3rd and newest addition, Jam Café Kitsilano, in the fall of 2018....

Busy team-oriented workplace
Work is always very busy, which is good for making money. Don't expect any downtime. No breaks (which is typical in the industry). Co-workers are great.

Always a fun day working at jam cafe
Probably one of the best restaurants I worked in my 4/5 years working in kitchens. Everyone is super nice including the management which is rare in restaurants. If you ever have a chance to work at any of the jam cafe’s I would highly recommended you do

Fast paced and Consistent
Brunch restaurant with strong customer following (always a lineup). Great for consistency, especially in the hospitality industry. Management is supportive and easy to get along with. High expectations when it comes to customer service and food quality.

Fast paced environment, very efficient BOH/FOH staff that works together and helps each other out. Guest turnover is very high and work is very intensive however management is always able to help.

Overworked and Under Appreciated
Management only cares about making money and doesn't believe in work/life balance. Can't be yourself and expect to fake it at all times. Customer is always right and being talked down to is acceptable. Better places to work in the Vancouver brunch scene.
