In my experience, it definitely depends where you end up working. There are jobs where things are just ok, and then the jobs that are destructive to your mental health. Unfortunately.
Awful. Bullying management and supervisors who are backed by HR in every horrible thing they do to the workers. Discipline handed out like candy for minor infractions. Bad place to work for your mental health!!
Awful in Home Support/Community. Full of toxic management
A nebula of management, team leaders, supervisors....yet wait lists are a year long for urgent services. Time to amalgamate a multitude of 100,000$ yearly plus jobs and bolster the front line.
Varies by which city you are in and which department you work. More often than not it is a good team atmosphere unless there are toxic employees or management in that department. They can be wonderful place to work. If you can't be a supporting person in a team atmosphere then no need apply.
Huge amount of back stabbing and Management allows it.
Very toxic environment to work. Very oppressive. Management does not treat all staff equally. Rocky Mountain Lodge mental health and substance use.
Extremely oppressive especially in community
Housekeeping Department is top heaving with toxic management. Constant harassment and bullying from managers and supervisors. Workload is overwhelming 99% of the time if the work is actually being done. Lots of back stabbing, gossiping and threats to your employment.
Oppressive and horrible
Depends on department
